Impact of Tim Cook and Management Style
Apple being the most reputed company in the global market is guided by potential
manager of the company. The current CEO of the company Tim Cook has been the most
desirable and potent member of the company. Tim was Apple’s Chief Operating Officer and he
was responsible for company’s operations and worldwide sales. When Tim Cook became the
CEO of Apple in the year 2011 he was able to reduce the inventory stock of the company to $78
million worth of unsold Macs which is down from $400 million. He also made some effective
changes such as cutting down some of the suppliers of Apple. Now at present Apple works only
with the suppliers who are closer to the Apple’s factories and the company is able to outsource
easily. Cook has also invested in effective enterprise resource planning system. This provides the
whole team of Apple with appropriate data and information about the supply chain.
The management style posed by Tim Cook is transformational style. Yes the management style
is found to be effective for the organization since the transformational style aims at provoking
the employees to be innovative and intuitive. The typical story told about Tim Cook is when Tim
cook was interviewed for the job as Vice President he fascinated all the members through his
operational ideas. Those ideas were actually implemented when he was hired.
Impact of Katherine Adams and Management Style
Another manager who has been an important member of the organization who has
contributed towards the organization is Katherine Adams. Katherine Adams is the Senior Vice
President and General Counsel, she has been a seasoned leader with her outstanding judgment.
The manager has been dealing with the legal issues of the company such as intellectual property,
corporate governance, litigations, global security and many more responsibilities.

The management style which is posed by Katherine Adams is quiet serious and
transactional so as to make sure the task is done properly (McLaughlin & Bridgman 2017). The
job is Katherine Adams is strict and needs enough attention and that is why transactional style is
effective for the organizational. The typical story told about Katherine Adams she is very strict
and tend to be autocratic in her workplace.
Corporate Mission, Values and Culture
The mission statement of Apple is to provide the best experience of the Apple users
through the company’s innovative software, hardware and services. The corporate value of the
company is they produce products they believe in. They aims to create a positive difference in
the society as produce profit as well (Tanimoto 2019). They believe each and every person in the
organization is important and has obligation and opportunity to make a difference in the
organization.
The corporate culture of Apple is foster creative innovation. The company’s main focus
is driving invention and innovation that involves creativity that effectively challenges standards
and conventions.
The mission and value of the company are the statements which provide the company a
direction to proceed and approach towards success. The statements keep everyone in the
organization focused and given them potential to give their best (NARAYAN and RAMU 2018).
The culture of the company is the personality behavior and believes of the company which
signifies reputation and transaction of the organization.
