Introduction:
The organizational leadership is gaining considerable amount of importance in the
modern world of business and that is evident with the urge faced by the companies in the
effective restructuring of their hierarchy. The increasing intensity of the business competition
has certainly affected the companies and that is visible with the application of different
market related business strategies. The application of the competitive pricing policy,
attractive marketing and promotional strategies, quality improvement strategies along with
efficient human resource management strategies is seen to be pretty prominent in the modern
world of trade relations. According to the esteemed opinion of Jing, Avery and Bergsteiner
(2014), the success of the companies in the effective management of their business activities
under the intense business competition, is seen to be largely dependent on their ability in
communicating their vision to the employees and the other stakeholders associated with the
business.
Apart from this, Taylor Cornelius and Colvin (2014) claimed that the ability of the
companies in managing the detrimental impact of the business competition is based on the
capability of their leaders in providing visionary leadership. The study analyses the factors
that play an important role in the creation of the organizational vision along with the
identification of the different approaches that can be applied for the development of vision.
Apart from this, the study precisely elaborates the importance of the leadership in the
organizational context and includes a self –assessment on my ability in becoming an efficient
leader. With a precise look at the self- assessment, the study provides an efficient
professional development plan. In addition to this, the study also identifies some important
information required for the evaluation of the progress that I am expected to achieve during

the professional developmental activities. Along with the evaluation, the study summarizes
the benefits that it will bring for my professional improvement in near future.
Task 1:
Factors that affect the creation of the organizational vision:
With a precise consideration to the formation of the organizational vision, it is evident
that three most important factors that affect the creation of the vision are the market forecast,
urge of the senior management in reaching newer heights and the scope of growth that the
business and the other stakeholders associated with the business are expected to achieve.
According to Partlow Medeiros and Mumford (2015), the formation of a feasible
organizational vision is considerably dependent on the market insights and at the same time,
the vision statement reflects the urge of the senior management of the companies in the
enhancing the span of their business. As per the comments of Baumgartner (2014), majority
of the companies are observed to portray the possible growth that the company will achieve
in near future not only for itself as a business entity but also for the stakeholders associated
with their business activity. Hence, these three are the important factors that shape the
organizational vision.
Skills and knowledge of leadership required for the creation and achievement of the
organizational vision and strategy:
With a precise consideration towards the techniques that are applied for the
development of the strategy and vision, it is understandable that the knowledge regarding the
management of that particular business activity is one of the top most requirement for the
companies in developing a feasible vision. Along with that, the leaders are required to inherit
