USP 2014: Executive Summary
Climate change has become a serious issue, towards which the organisations within the
industry are required to be focused and to take initiatives to mitigate the negative impact of
climate change. Unilever has developed a sustainable development plan to meet the changing
requirements within the industry and towards the development of the society, also to provide
a sustainable living place to the people. The report is effectively focused on analysing the
sustainable plan developed by the organisation and identifying its impact within the society.
Unilever’s plan effectively focuses upon mitigating the impact of climate change on society
and promotes the growth and development of the society.
Unilever has the vision to develop a sustainable living. Climate change has changed the
way business activities were conducted, as with the changes within the environment, the
societies are focusing on brands that are more involved in creating a better environment for
the future. Unilever operates with a focus on improving its organisational performance along
with reducing the negative impact of environmental changes within the society (Unilever,
2020). Unilever is effectively contributing the maximum as compared to the other brands
within the industry (Federman, 2016).
