REFLECTION ASSIGNMENT
Contribution to the group assignment
The entire assignment revolves around a case scenario of Snow White Dry Cleaners
(SWDC). As per the case scenario, the particular business is running for over 20 years and
due to the increasing business managing everyday business activity gets complicated.
Therefore, the owner of this firm is going for the adoption of ERP (Enterprise resource
planning) system. In order to complete this assignment, role of ERP system and its
importance and necessity in the business are stay in focus. I divided the whole assignment
into different sections and sub sections. In the introduction section, to introduce the entire
concept and main objective of this assignment, the background information related to the case
scenario and sound knowledge regarding the ERP system has provided.
In order to understand the given business scenario, the opportunities, recent
requirement of the business has explained briefly. In the “possible role of the ERP system”
section, I explained several concepts related to this system. Providing an overview of the ERP
system, the report explained that, it is a business process management software, which will
allow the organization to use different integrated applications for simplifying the daily
business operations. The business needs of the discussed firm, the complicacy it is currently
facing are discussed. In addition, the suitable ERP solution for this business is identified and
explained in this section. To support the activities of the selected ERP system, the business
process reengineering (BPR) system, along with its information and functional requirements
have also discussed. Understanding the essential of ERP system implementation, I have given
a brief overview of all the suitable implementation methodology. After performing a
comparison between the chocolate and vanilla implementation, I have proposed the most
suitable implementation for the discussed business. After discussing about the risks
associated with the selected ERP and the BPR solution, necessary changes have also

suggested. At last, overall summary of the report with further steps on this project have also
discussed.
Learning experience on the teamwork skill
This group assignment has helped me in gathering several knowledge about the ERP
and BPR system. Not only my academic and technical knowledge, rather my communication
skills also got enhanced. Analysing about the given business case, investigating and
identifying the suitable ERP model and other necessary solution has helped me to analyse and
improving my problem solving skill. I collected ideas of how to work in a team by avoiding
any kind of internal team conflict. The efficient flow of information, communication skill
adopted by our team and amount of effort given by the entire team will not only help in group
development, but also become helpful for our team in achieving the main goal and objectives.
The technical knowledge and team management skills gathered from this assignment will
help me in future for delivering more successful works.
