Contributions made to the group assignment
I, being an important and significant member of the team has got the opportunity to
research and understand about the concept of enterprise resource planning and its
implementation in any specific business. I have learnt that this specific software is referred to
as the type of enterprise application, which is the software, being designed to be used by
popular businesses and even needs dedicated teams for better customization as well as
effective analysis of the data to ensure that the deployment and up gradation is being handled
efficiently. Moreover, I have gone through different scholarly articles for understanding the
future growth and development of the product and vendor of ERP. This particular group
assignment was divided in different sections of introduction, discussion and conclusion. I had
to make the entire introduction part with few parts of discussion. I had to complete the
exploration part of the marketplace for potential enterprise resource planning software that
are relevant to the organization and case study of Snow White Dry Cleaners or SWDC.
Being, an excellent student of enterprise systems, I did not face any type of complexity while
completing the work successfully. I had suggested five suitable enterprise resource planning
solutions and vendors for the assignment, which were Net Suite ERP, SAP ERP, Sage ERP,
Odoo ERP and finally Microsoft Dynamics. I have highlighted different advantages and
disadvantages of these five solutions of enterprise resource planning, so that it becomes easier
for the group to complete the rest of the assignment successfully.
Learning experience on teamwork skills
I had an excellent learning experience from the group assignment made. I was able to
develop my skill for problem solving and effective communication with the rest of the team
members. I have known that team work is the respective collaborative effort of any specific
group for the core purpose of achieving a common objective and task in an effective and
efficient manner. The group was comprised of interdependent individuals, who are working
together for a common objective. Due to my active participation in the assignment, I was able
to gain knowledge about problem solving skills and understood that problem solving is
extremely important for all the group members. The major problem solving skills that I have
developed from this group assignment include active listening, proper analysis, better and
effective research, high creativity and innovation, proper communication with the rest of my
team members and accurate decision making. Since, my project was for enterprise resource
planning, I also took help from our supervisor to ensure that I am working accurately and my
team building capability is enhanced under any circumstance. Furthermore, due to my
effective collaboration and team development skills, I was able to transfer my data and
knowledge as well as concept about the work to the next team member, so that it becomes
easier for us to complete the work of enterprise resource planning successfully and
efficiently. As introduction is the first part of the assignment, I had to pay extra attention to
my sections.
