This report includes functions of HRM and how it isapplicable to workforce planning in an firm. Moreover, strengths and weaknesses of variousapproaches are explained while recruiting and selecting. Additionally, benefits of HRM to theorganization and it's employees are discussed clearly as well as how it raise firm profitability.However importance of employment legislation is explained and how it impact HRM decisionmaking process. The functions of HRM in TESCO can be explained as follows: Mission statement-: Here, the mission statement of TESCO is to offer new qualityproducts in the areas of clothing and groceries items. Organization is providing all these qualityproducts at affordable price to their potential customers. Purpose: TESCO serve as a multinational retail store which provide all grocery itemsand clothes for every section of the customers in the global market. Here, the main purpose ofTESCO is to produce quality and quantity products like food, clothing etc. for their targetedcustomer's in order to meet their demand in the competitive world. Recruitment and selection:It refers to as selecting, screening and captivating effectiveparticipants based on goals criteria for a particular job. TESCO recruit employees by examiningthe abilities and qualifications for the post due to which productivity increase at a rapid scale.1
