INTRODUCTION
Employees recruited by business firms through external recruitment have limited
knowledge about organisational culture and business processes of the company. Newly recruited
employees take time to adapt to organisational culture and reach their maximum performance.
Business firms aim to shorten the period of low employee productivity of new recruits with the
help of employee induction programs. The significance of employee induction in the current
business environment is described in this essay.

Significance and worth of employee induction in the modern workplace
The process of on boarding new recruits in the company, increase their familiarity with
new roles and organisational culture in order to increase their productivity. The main aim of
employee induction process is to ensure that employees adapt to the workplace as quickly as
possible so that the firm is able to gain high output from each staff member (Davila and Pina-
Ramirez, 2018). Integration of new employees in the existing workforce is challenging task.
Employee induction programs play an important role in quick and smooth integration of new
hires in the existing workforce. This depicts the significance of employee induction as the
company is able to utilise skills of new recruit.
The process of employee induction includes giving new hires information, training and
guidance required to perform effectively in their job and understand company culture to become
a part of the existing workforce. The objective of ensuring that new employees feel appreciated
and welcomed in the company with focus on preparing new recruits to become high perfuming
employee of the company is attained with the help of employee induction. The significance of
employee induction is that it makes the employees feel valued acts as motivator for their
continuous improvements and efforts to enhance performance (Davis and Amirbekova, 2019).
Employee induction is often considered to be synonymous with employee on boarding.
This abatement is inaccurate as employee induction program focuses on the beginning of
employee career in the company while the focus of on boarding programmes at the starting few
years of employee life to ensure that skills hires are retained and maintain string bonds with the
company (Fulcher, Cote and Marasco, 2021). Employee on-boarding is comparatively longer
process than employee induction process as the employee induction is centred around first few
