Background of Warren Buffet
Warren Buffet’s father, Howard Buffet owned a little brokerage in which little Warren
used to spend his time. During this time Warren used to listen to the investors talking and
understand the various aspects of business (). He was born with business residing in his blood.
During his teenage time Warren used to take up odd jobs like delivering newspapers as well as
washing cars. The savings he made from these jobs was used in buying a pinball machine which
was placed by him in a local store. Warren bought his first share when he was merely 11 years
old (Kizil 2016). The success which he tasted in his early years did not want to visit college but
his father pushed him to continue his studies. After Warren was rejected from Harvard Business
School, he went to Columbia Business School where he studied under Benjamin Graham and
David Dodd. Both of them were a very well-known analysts of security. Under their mentoring
Warren understood the various aspects of value investing. It was stated by him that the book
written by Graham, “The Intelligent Investor” changed his life and is the reason for his present
success (Kelly 2019).
Buffett as an influential leader
Warren Buffet can be recognized as one of the most influential leaders of the world.
Buffet is the perfect example of being one of the most influential leader and to stay humble at the
same time. There are some reason duw to which he can be stated as one of the most influential
leaders of the world:
Going against the grain: Buffet always stuck to his values and invested in the areas
where there are chances of very intense pressure of market. The investment which was
done by Warren in the Washington post of 1973 was deemed to backfire but he stuck to
