INTRODUCTION
Employability skills can be defined as the set of skills and behaviours which are highly
essential for every job. However, employability skills are also known as soft skills that allows
individuals to communicate with other people effectively. These skills are problem-solving
skills, organization skills, communication skills and others which supports individuals to be
proactive and productive at the job place. In this report will discuss over employability skills and
it’s significance. Then further will analyse requirement of employability skills for opening
security company effectively in this report.
MAINBODY
Overview on security company
To run security company effectively in the business market requires to have great
security officer who will always alert and aware by training. An effective security officer always
focuses on situation that could impact on people safety and place and protects them precisely.
So, it is important for the company to have such employees who can effectively run security
company in business market in order to lead better functioning of business.

Employability skills are considered one of the major platforms for commerce and industry as
well as for professional education. In this article has provided high understanding about
employability and it’s importance in academic time as well. According to author employability
has big one of the major discussed topics for the all companies because these skills are not taught
by teachers in academic period but students have to develop these skills own by own (Unraveling

and the workplace. 2019). Mohamad and et.al., (2018) stated that most of the time students do
not aware about employability skills in higher education so, it is responsibility of teachers to
influence awareness in students about employability skills that are also known as soft skills.
However, employability skills involve in personal image, good habits and attributes and

interpersonal skills. Effective employability skills have ability to enable graduate to achieve
satisfying job. Then in this article has described over American Society for Training and
Development (ASTD) which supports to develop basic employability skills which makes
graduate able to give interview for the job as per their choice or successfully open own business
in the business market. Skills are competency skill, communication skills, development skills,
adaptability skills and influencing skills that are projected by ASTD. When individuals develop
these all skills in them that makes them liable to establish successful business in the business
market. This article has emphasized on other skills as well such as analytical skills, computer
skills, creativity, risk taker, flexibility and others. These skills support individuals to become
competent in the business market when there is cut throat competition. In that state, these skills
will support employers to take effective action to make it’s business sustainable prolong time.
As per the view of Remi Scoupe & Simon Beausaert employability skills influence
potential in individuals and make them highly competent. So, authors stated that these skills must
develop in graduate and post graduate students by involving extra curriculum activities like
challenging task, assignments, competition and others. Remi Scoupe & Simon Beausaert has
quoted in their published article that academics must require to convince that institutions should
incorporate employability skills into their teaching which will impact on student learning
positively. Authors said in the article that academics must organize debate competition in the
institutions and encourages their students to be participated in such activities. Such competitions
will develop effective communication skills in students and makes them effective
communicators. Remi Scoupe & Simon Beausaert mainly focuses on communication skills
because it considered one of the most important employability skills among others. Debate and
GD competitions are one of the best platforms for the individuals such as debate competition
bri9ngs two people together who argue over one topic to keep their logical issues. On the other
hand, group discussion leads five to six people together who also keeps their views in front of
other candidates by following all rules and regulation effectively. Thus, type activities remove
hesitation in individuals and make them interactive to convince others with their logical
statements. It is essential role of the higher education is to enable it’s student by offering training
in order to improving their existing skills, knowledge, attitudes as well as abilities. Such training
empowers students to be critical and reflective learners for lifelong period.

Remi Scoupe & Simon Beausaert also have mentioned in their published article that
development of employability skills is the joint based platform of industry and education
institute for example teachers trains their student how to develop employability skills in higher
education while industry helps to improve existing employability skills in those student who
have become part of company as employees. Basically, this article has emphasized on all
employability skills that are required in individuals to become successful in their life in business
purpose. However, this article has highlighted over communication skills that must have in
students in higher education. The reason behind is that when employer or employee have
effective communication skills then they can eligible to establish and runs their business in future
precisely. To open and run security company in future requires to have effective communication
skills in individuals. It is a simple concept when employer has good communication skills then
they can understand needs to customer and competitive actions of competitors before opening
security company. Such knowledge will support to establish and operates business in the
business market effectively.

graduate perspectives
This article is proposed by Nombeko Felicity Dwesini to provide brief understanding
about employability skills and involvement in work integrated learning. Work integrated learning
is the equipment that empowers graduates develop employability skills in order to work
effectively at the workplace in future. Such work integrated learning program is not only
developed employability skills but also brings high understanding in them how to work at the
workplace. This program is organized for skill development in graduates during academic
period. Abas and Imam, (2016) has mentioned in his published article that work integrated
learning program must practice in the classroom and placement activities which develops
employability skills and determine factors that can improve skill performance in individuals. In

the work integrated learning program focuses on problem-solving skills that is considered one of
the major effective employability skills. According to Nombeko Felicity Dwesini, when
graduates have such skill that always keeps them alert and proactive to deal with any situation
weather favourable or non-favourable. As know to open a new business or job perspective
requires that individuals must have this skill so that they can take own decision at personal level

graduate perspectives 2017). There are various situation takes place when start-up new business-
like employee’s requirements for the salary, customer’s demand, emerging changes, competitors’
pressure and others. these are quite common issues that always takes place but it is important that
employer should posses problem-solving then they can stay long run in the business market and
gains all framed objective within timeframe. Overall problem-solving skills is highly required for
the opening security company in future.

dynamic and challenging places for the young generation who are graduating from different
education institutions. There are extensive job opportunities for the graduates who have
employability skills which are highly expected by workplace. But the major issue is that there are
only 30% candidates who posses’ employability skills which they show during interview session
and recruited by companies. Currently English and employable skills make individuals
professional and requires by all workplaces. So, it is important for the academics to give high
concentrations on graduate’s employability skills. This article has highlighted interpersonal skills
that required to have in employer or graduates (Nisha, Subbu M.; Rajasekaran, V. Employability
Skills: A Review, 2016). Interpersonal skill is also categorized in employability skills that must
have in employer. This skill includes such characteristics i.e. be friendly and polite, respect
supervisor and co-workers, quick response on customer request, and resolve conflicts calmly
which supports individuals to become more competent. Effective interpersonal skills support
graduates to become successful employer in it’s field. Security company requires such skills then

customer will prefer to buy security services of the company. To open security company must
have interpersonal skills in individuals then they can become effective employer.
It has analysed that interpersonal skills supported individuals to be competent and make
them good employer.

for the career perspective in future. According to Katy Jordan individuals must aware about their
skills so that they can determine their strengths and weakness. Most of the people or students are
out updated for their strengths and weaknesses due to this they unable to develop their weak
areas or unawareness causes loss opportunities. Katy Jordan has emphasized on creativity and
cross-cultural skills in her published article and has evaluated significance of creativity and
cross-cultural skills. These skills are highly essential for the individuals because it keeps them
proactive and supports in future to incorporate diversity in the workplace (Katy Jordan.
Employability skills are the heart of the future. 2019). There are two type people such as one
who wants to do job in highly reputable multinational company while second type people who
wants to be open a business in future. these skills will support both type people to gain their
goals. With creativity and cross-cultural skills, first type people enable to communicate and work
with diverse workforce at common platform effectively. While second type people enable to
manage wellbeing of diverse workforce in the workplace with the cross-cultural skills. Thus,
these skills will support to start up security business in future and also helps to maintain diversity
in the workplace.
From above discussed articles can be analysed that employability skills are crucial for the
career. There are four employability skills i.e. communication skills, interpersonal skills,
creativity and cross culture skills, and problem-solving skills that are highly required to open
security company and run business lifelong in future.
Reflection
Employability skills are transferable skills that can be developed by learning but it can be
developed through self-practices as well. I also have some employability skills like effective
communication skills, problem-solving skills, analytical skills and leadership skills which

supports me in future when I will open security company in future. (Employability Skills, 2018)
For example, effective communication skills will support me to understand needs and
expectations of the customer which they keep before buying product and services. As same
concept implements for employees whereas I need to understand customer’s needs regrading job
in order to maintain their wellbeing. With this skill I will meet all needs precisely. But I observe
that I am lacking behind some skills like interpersonal skills and cross-cultural skills. These
skills are highly required to tackle with different personality stakeholders. So, I have decided I
will develop these weak areas which can impact on my performance negatively. To improve
interpersonal skills, I will take guidance from professionals and reads book regular basis that will
bring understanding in me to tackle different situations creatively (Why are Employability Skills
Important, 2019). To develop cross cultural skills will interact different type of people and
understand their viewpoints which enhance my confidence. I will join cross-cultural training
program and develops cross culture skills. Thus, I will improve my both weak areas that will
support me in future to open successful security company in future.
CONCLUSION
This report has been summarized different authors perspectives that has given about
employability skills through their published articles. These articles have provided understanding
about significance of employability skills for individuals as career perspectives. In this report has
concluded brief evaluation of a review article on “Unraveling Concept of employability,
bringing together research on employability in higher education and the workplace” that has
proposed by Remi Scoupe & Simon Beausaert.
