Introduction
A sound management is the building block of a successful organizational setup. To make
sure that the organization is performing properly is essential for the managers to develop a strong
connection with their employees so that they can put forward a joint collaborative effort.
However, it must be noted that the post of a General Manager is a very dignified position and to
make sure that all the works are being done properly the managers must make sure that they are
well aware of the areas of strengths and the areas of weakness that are present within them.
Therefore the managers must include the opinion of their workers and their teammates while
they are about to take any important decisions (Shavkun & Dybchinska 2019). The managers
have to realize that just like other professions they will also be facing several hurdles in their
way. However, they will have to make sure that they are facing all these challenging situations
and finding out the right solutions for the same.
SWOT
Personal SWOT analysis is one of the most useful tools that the managers can use to
understand the strengths, weakness, opportunities that are present in them. They will also be able
to know about those particular traits that can turn out to be a threat to them in the future.
Conducting a personal SWOT analysis is of utmost importance to make sure that they can easily
stay in their positions and carry on with their work without losing the trust of their employees or
their team workers. I have decided to undertake a personal SWOT analysis as this will be helping
me to understand the different areas in which I will have to improve myself. Therefore I will be

using this tool to develop myself and instill all the skills that are essential for becoming an ideal
General Manager.
Strengths
Right from my childhood, I have been taking part in all the group-based activities. I feel
that a team can succeed only if there is a unified and joint collaborative effort. Therefore I am
good at team management skills. As per my perception, this is one of the essential qualities that
must be present within anyone who wants to become a general manager.
Weakness
One of my weaknesses is lack of active listening. I have been suffering from the problem
of restlessness and nervousness. Whenever I attend any group discussion sessions or I have to
deliver any lectures or presentations in front of anyone I feel very afraid, I suffer from a nervous
breakdown. This is one of the major setbacks and can turn out to be one of the major challenges
for me. I feel that if I am not able to overcome this issue the will be one of the major drawbacks
for me in my future career.
Opportunity
I am good at nonverbal, or writing skills. This is one of the major skills that is needed to
prepare the meeting schedules, compose the official mails and also for forwarding any important
business messages across all the employees working in different departments. Thus I feel that
this quality will be one of the golden opportunities for me in my future career, I will be able to
use this skill to convey my feelings or my decision to all my fellow team members or my co-
workers
