INTRODUCTION
Academic and research skills refers to those abilities and skills which are mandatory to be
achieved by an individual for conducting an appropriate research to get better outcomes. It is
necessary to determine an effective as well as efficient strategies which should be implemented
for carrying out proper search event to identify scope of desired topic or concept in accurate
manner to get required outputs. Personal development is mandatory to be done by people to
achieve better growth in lives to improve standards of living and attain aims properly (Birley and
Morel, 2014). This assignment will discuss about to set particular target of self development and
then make planning to be followed for achieving required outcomes.
TASK 1
Personal development can be described as to boost up skills and abilities of an individual
to improve standards of living and achieve dreams or aims of life. Different kinds of methods,
techniques and tools can be utilised by people to increase capabilities to perform any tasks or
activity in proper way to generate required outputs (O'Sullivan and et. al., 2016). The term
personal development is about top observe, analyse and evaluate our own strengths and
weaknesses properly. It will facilitate to utilise strong abilities in accurate way to create better
productivity as well as profitability. Weak factors should be overcome by putting several needed
steps towards them in terms of reducing negative impacts in order to rise loss. I required to
observe, analyse and evaluated my own strengths and weaknesses to put an appropriate actions
towards it for attaining better results.
Strengths: - This can be described as various types of strong points which provide
support to improve capabilities which reflects into performance in order to create desired
outputs. I have several strengths through that it is possible for me to solve certain issues and
reduce risk of threats properly. Some of them are given below:
 I am a focussed person and concentrate on my task properly till the end and do strategic
thinking to conduct required activities or procedures more effectively as well as
efficiently to get desired outcomes.
 I have an ability to to use new creative ideas for carrying out needed activities for
achieving desired goals or objectives properly.
 I have self confidence which supports me to present myself properly and complete
required tasks in accurate way.

Weaknesses: - It can be described about various kinds of weakness which facilitate to
arise several threats or problems in different circumstances. Several weak points are there which
are necessary to be determine and put an appropriate steps to reduce negative impacts of the
same. I have certain weaknesses which are as follows:
 I will become aggressive many time which results into the little loss of my own.
 My work is perfect but it takes little bit more time than other colleagues.
 I don't have factor of patience which makes me rude many times.
SMART OBJECTIVES
 To learn about software HRIS to conduct process of collecting and storing required
information in an organisation and that takes around 6 months.
 I wish to learn HRIS software as it provides means of acquiring, storing, analysing and
distributing information to conduct HRM activities properly.
 To improve interpersonal skills which render help to achieve targets in better wayb
which takes around 3 months.
Task 2
It can be said that note taking skills are required must be required for every individuals or
persons so that they can learn or memorise for longer time period as well. Notes taking are best
source or effective tool that support in recording and maintaining appropriate data or necessary
information for analysing these at anywhere and everywhere. It is set of documents in which
mention every important and key points that are beneficial for individual. I always carry a note
book and write any necessary informations which I read or listen on it. I used to consider these
for getting informations so it can be said that keeping or maintaining records are very helpful or
supportive in summarising and interpreting them in more effective manner.
Listening skills: It is very effective aspects for getting knowledges or informations regarding
particular topic of research (Thiry, Laursen and Hunter, 2011). Every individuals consider this
method for getting various data or informations such as listening and reading so that an
appropriate data can be maintained. I use several methods or components for collecting
information that will be beneficial for me in the future time period and I can also apply these
information for solving problems and making better decisions in any situations. There are
defined some learning skills as like:

 Attending lectures: This is very supportive mode where I get more knowledges and
effective informations so that I can apply these in my research and any study as well. I
always attends lectures of my professors, teachers, mentors and experts and listen them
very carefully so that I can point out some key points in well manner.
 Seminars: This is another way where I collect informations and gathered data through
listening to any experts or great people who comes for sharing their ideas or knowledges
with entire persons so that they can inspired or motivate for doing great jobs. I hear about
their past life or experiences which provide guidelines and informations in well manner. I
also use my note book for writing necessary informations so that I can revised them
whenever required in my life.
 Group discussions and meetings: In this, I concern the group discussion topic and try to
find the appropriate answers by knowing every individuals view points and their opinion
towards particular things in more efficient manner. I also focus on write down important
points and necessary informations which have discussed under the group discussions so
that it can be used while taking corrective actions as well. This is very beneficial and
essentials for me in collecting relative informations and accurate knowledges about any
research topics in better ways.
Hence, it can be proves that listening skills are very effective in gathering more sufficient
data so that individual can apply in their working life or styles for making better decisions or
corrective actions as well. Teachers and professors always teach most important things in our life
so I just follows their rules or regulations as well as instructions that support me in taking best
decisions in any situations as well.
Reading strategies: It is best method for getting informations or collecting data through reading
particular aspects which is helpful in interpreting them in sequence manner and achieve best
possible outcomes in well manner. There are various methods involves in this such as:
Books and journals: In this consider the books or other elements which helps in providing
better knowledges or information as these are very supportive for every individuals and play an
important role in making life smooth manner (Bhatia, 2014). I usually reads books or other
journals and records some key points or criteria in my note book so that I can use that
informations in the future or my careers as well. It is an essentials for learning outcomes and
enhance particular knowledges.

Web blogs and Articles: It is another components for reading important news or any other
informations which makes me aware and also helps in finding better solutions regarding
academic or any other matter in more effective manner. In such websites or blogs, many of
experts gives their views and write their opinions in more efficient ways.
TASK 3
Research can be defined as a careful and detailed study of specific problem or issue
through observing, analysing and evaluating to get required results. It is necessary to conduct this
programs to determine possible scope for any concept of idea thorough collecting information
from various resources to gain better outputs in terms of findings and recommendations. It
includes several sources of data which is utilised by me in proper way.
The primary sources of information refers to several records which are directly
witnessed, described and filtered to gain an appropriate knowledge to analyse required aspects. It
includes various sources such as letters, diaries, speeches, interviews and correspondence. I had
utilise the primary data which helps me to gain needed information for carrying out an effective
research to get desired results in proper manner.
Secondary sources can be described as to build off primary resources along with better
extensive and in- depth analysis (Flynn and et. al., 2012). It include several factors such as
textbooks, monographs, encyclopedias, analysis, review articles, dissertations, thesis and so on.
It is mandatory to summarize, evaluate, and analytically interpret primary material through
offering personal perspective. I had use both primary and secondary data as per my requirements
and gain desired information to get proper results. Research plan refers to combination of
necessary activities with an appropriate strategy to conduct search event properly.
RESEARCH PLAN

Goals and targets of research  To find out that how must trends or fashion of
market influence on youngsters.
Methodology of research  I had used an effective interview of several
youngsters to know about their preferences and
thoughts about changing trends of market.

maintaining it properly to conduct an efficient
research to get desired outputs.
Funds required  Estimation of funds for carried out research is
appropriately very limited.
Idea of innovative approach  The title of analysing impacts of fashion is all about
to know scope and benefits of trends on youngsters
is an essential approach which ensures future profits
of companies.
Interpretation  I have interpreted that changing trends of fashion is
liked by youngsters and they are fond of following
current fashion of market.
Findings  The findings of research includes that various
changing trends of market are usually like by
youngsters and purchase products as per present
fashion of market.
Recommendations  It is recommended that changing trends of market
are generally liked by youngsters and they put
efforts to get up to date themselves as per different
fashion in particular period of time. Companies can
gain better outcomes in terms of modifying their
goods as per needs and demands of customers then
they can attain desired productivity as well as
profitability.

CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above report that skills audit plays an important role in
determination of the such aspects which are need to improve. This will have huge importance in
future regarding formulation of objectives which are related to the development of specific skill
within specific period of time. All the objectives which are framed are SMART and achievable
in actual if proper actions are taken. The activity of note taking helps in achievement of targets.
To effectively prepare notes need to use their listening and reading strategies. Research plan
provides the opportunity is understand the methodologies which are present and effectively use
them in process of achieving targets.
