INTRODUCTION
Academic learning and skills refers to a collection of study habits, time management
tools, learning strategies that help scholars to learn as well as gain school lessons. For most of
the scholars, learning is all about much more than approach to information (Sekarwinahyu and
et. al., 2019). Tutors and teachers also cover academic skills in their chapters for the purpose for
learners to actually master their lessons. It will not only benefit the present of the students, but
their future as well. In the following report, a reflection model will be applied in order to gain an
understanding of different topics such as time management, reflection, organising study and
public speaking and presentations.
TASK
Gibbs Reflective Cycle
Gibbs' reflective cycle was founded by Graham Gibbs in the year 1988. This model
works as a framework for assessing experiences, and provided its cyclic nature lends itself,
specifically well to perennial experiences, allowing one to plan and learn from things that either
went good or did not go good (Ibrahima, Khalfb and Khalilc, 2020). It involves six stages to
reflect one's lessons or experiences. This framework is a groovy style to work through an
experience. This can be a situation or self-experience that one goes through frequently. The
following is the explanation of six stages that covers different learning aspects:
Description: During my academic year, my teachers and mentor gave me several tasks
and opportunities that helped me to build my academic skills (Austin, Gilkison and
Clemons, 2020). Developing a range of skills, abilities and knowledge will undoubtedly
benefit me building my career and to get a desirable job in a large organisation. I got an
opportunity to work in a team of 5-7 members. My teachers indulged with a group task
and activity in which all the members needed to participate to get good marks and grades
in the academic year. All the members were divided with certain task as per or ability and
skills, so that all could better perform and finish the task. While doing task and activity,
there are several skills and abilities that have been developed and enhanced such as time
management skills, organised study, public speaking and presentation skills. This also
provided me the opportunity to reflect my learning lessons and experiences gained while
learning and studying in the educational setting. Moreover, completing group task also
