INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity can be defined as the moral codes and the ethics which involves
expectation of the teachers, students as well as the researchers of the academic community to act
in the honesty, trust, fairness, respect as well as responsibility (Eaton, 2022). This report is
consists of the two section that is section one and section two in which section one of this report
will discuss the description of the academic integrity as well as its importance within the higher
education. Further, the implications of the academic misconduct will be discussed and the
reflection on the skills which has been enhanced while producing the game project.

SECTION 1
Academic integrity
Academic integrity in particular refer to a term which specifically focuses on the ethical
policies or the moral codes of conduct in particular of the overall academia (Tatum, 2022).
Academic integrity in other words is the elimination as well as avoidance of the cheating,
plagiarism or any kind of academic misconducts that particularly happen in the academic
institutions in particular. Most of the education systems or academic institutions practice and
implement academic integrity for better working, enhancement of knowledge and skills, gaining
good recognition to encourage more students to take admission in their institution in particular.
These are particularly expressed by the institutions through honour codes, mission statements,
procedures and also through policies as well. The academic integrity specifically supports in
enhancing the levels of honesty as well as trust for the individuals and mainly the students and
also credits are given to those who efficiently practice this.
Through the use of the values that are provided by implementation of academic integrity
in particular the academic behaviour that is ethical is defined as the community that is extremely
dedicated towards learning and the exchange the ideas. Academic integrity particularly means
acting in a way through which fairness, respects, responsibilities as well as honesty is practised
and applied by the students of the academic institution. The term should be clearly explained to
the students in such a way that they implement in the activities or the tasks they are performing
in particular. Like, they need to be taught to be honest regarding the ideas that they have derived
from others, acting in a fair way and taking responsibilities regarding the tasks and carrying them
out effectively and also efficiently. The fundamental principles on which academic integrity in

particular stands are trust, courage, honesty, fairness, respect as well as responsibility in
particular.
Importance of academic integrity in higher education
As it is specifically describes in the above section that academic integrity in particular is
associated with topics or aspects including ethical and moral codes within the students as well as
the teachers of the academic institutions, hence, it is very necessary for them to maintain it in
particular (Egan, 2018). Because of the consistent as well as continuous technological
advancements happening, the higher educational systems have been majorly challenged and the
risks have also been increased due to this in particular. The involvement of academic integrity is
necessary in the higher education because this helps in protecting the image of the academic
institution in particular, it also adds the well- being and supports the maintenance of the integrity
as well. The application of academic integrity practices within the organization help in
development of new and innovative ideas and also increases the involvement of individuals
which particularly increases their contribution and inclination towards the institution too.
It is very necessary to maintain the academic integrity within the institutions too, this is
not only for the students who are learning but also for the teachers who are teaching and other
staff members too (Bretag., 2016). This also provides freedom to them in many diverse or
different ways. It is also very essential for many other reasons regarding the different as well as
diverse aspects of the overall academia in particular. Academic integrity is this very important or
necessary in because it particularly and precisely allows the staff of the academic institution and
also the students of the academic institution in particular for building or developing new as well
as innovative ideas in particular as well. The academic integrity provides that freedom of
decision- making to the students as well as the staff of the institution in particular. The freedom
that students and the staff have in particular also enhances the levels of their knowledge in
particular and also their skills are enhanced through this freedom that has been particularly
provided by the institution to its major stakeholders that are the teachers who are teaching in that
institution and also the students who are learning in the institution.
Implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct particularly refers to or means or focuses on the concept of doing
any wrong activities or performing any wrong tasks such as cheating in particular that are not in
accordance to the code of conduct or the guidelines of the organization in particular. This is a

form of cheating in one way or the other way within the formal surroundings of the academic
institution in particular and is also totally related to and in accordance to the formal activities or
the tasks that are done within the academic institution in particular. The concept of academic
misconduct in particular focuses over the specific approach which is related to the tasks as well
as the activities or also the exercises that are out of the boundaries or the limitations that are
particularly set by the academic institution in particular because of the application or the
implementation of the concept of academic integrity within the academic institution in particular
that has particularly set this code of conduct regarding academic integrity.
This majorly has many implications due to which the students as well as the teachers
within the formal academic institution are forced and inclined towards following the rules or the
guidelines that are set by the organization or the institution in particular (Parnther., 2020). The
actions that come under the academic misconduct or are considered to be as academic
misconduct in particular are such as, collusion, possession of the materials that are unauthorized
when the tests or the exams in particular are going on or being conducted, contract cheating,
fabrication of information or the data that is present with the institution, etc. the major
implications that are caused if some major activity of academic misconduct is faced, the
implications like the suspension or the expulsion of the individuals that are related and
conducting such academic misconducts in particular. Some institutions also charge penalties so
that the mistakes are not repeated and every other person also does not want to do such a thing.
SECTION 2
Reflection of the steps which has been taken and the difficulties faced while producing the game-
Name of game:
Fun & Brain Time
While producing or designing the game there are various steps which has to be followed
for the better production of the game. These steps are such as-
Picking the concept: The first and the foremost thing is to generate few of the game concepts or
the ideas so that the most effective and better game can be selected. By exploring the various
genres and the subgenres, which will help in finding the most type of the popular games within
the children's. After this brainstorm is completed, then next is to think about the features and the

mechanics of the all the games which has been listed. This step has to be performed very
carefully as this is the basis and the main step of producing the complete game.
Collecting information: While producing and selecting the suitable games, this will require the
extensive research of the games which has been listed. Research is done on the game which the
is going to build and created as the game document for every type of the game which has to be
designed. This game document is considered as the brief for the overall game production project
as well as it outlines all the major details such as the game mechanics, genre, marketing strategy
as well as the world building story. As from the gamer designer's perspective, it must be decided
what type of the game programming language has to be used as well as the size of the
development team. It is very necessary to gather the information regarding the game as this will
help in crating the best games for the audience. As I have designed the game that is Fun and
Brain Time as this involves very high level of the information in advance which will help in
providing better instructions to the participants (Gaydos and Devane, 2019).
Collection of resources: The another most important step is to collect the available resources
which will be required in building the game. This helps the game designer to effectively manage
the resources which are available and this will allow the designer to know what all more
resources will have to be gather. It is very necessary for the game designer to understand the
availability of the resources in present. This step was followed while designing the game as this
helped me in managing the resources in much better way.
Initiating the game building: After knowing the availability of the resources the next step is to
develop the framework for the game which has to be build. The best programming languages has
to be selected as well as the game engine for the idea which has been selected. This is the step
which involves converting the idea into the reality by using the resources and the information
which has been collected for the Fun & Brain time game. During this stage of the development
of the game, the game has to be effectively by using the overall financial resources. As all the
instruction of the games has to be defined in this.
Testing the game: After building the game, the another step is to test the game from every
perspective. This will helps in making the improvements if required within the game and the best
game can be delivered to the audience.
There were various difficulties which was faced while producing the game as I was
having no experience was the biggest challenge for me. When the game designer does not have

the experience in developing the game as due to this there are many types of the errors which
occurs.
Reflecting the skills which enhanced while producing games-
As the game designer, there are various skills which is enhanced while producing any of
the games such as-
Management skills: By producing the games, the one of the best skills which is enhanced is the
management skills. This skills is developed through producing the game designer as this helps in
the overall career path of the individual. This was found highly beneficial for me to produce the
game (Warner, Richardsonand Lange, 2019).
Project management skills: The another most important skills is enhanced by the production of
the games as this helps in developing the project management skills. This is enhanced through
the understanding the how the games are made and what all things happen within the project.
Time management skills: The game producing has helped me in improving and developing the
time management skills. This is very important in my daily life as through this, the time can be
managed effectively in each and every tasks which will be performed by in the future.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that it is very important for the educational
institutions to practice the academic integrity as this will help them in improving the behaviour
of the students. This report has covered the description of the academic integrity and how this
matters to be integrated within the higher education. Further, the report has illustrated the
implications is any of the academic misconduct occurs. Later on, the section two of this report
has critically reflected the skills which has been learned while producing game.
