INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is one of the most common but important term in the educational
context, learner need to understand the concept of academic integrity to manage their growth in
academic and career development session (Bretag, 2016). Academic integrity simply means
those policies and procedure followed by learner to ensure right and legal education, this may
include honesty at work, avoidance of misconduct and avoidance of any unethical practice
during academic period. This report will discuss academic integrity in higher education and
academic misconduct. Later this report will discuss skills required to design a game and major
difficulties faced by learner during crafting of game.
MAIN BODY
SECTION 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity:
Academic integrity is process in which learner try to maintain ethical and positive
behaviour during academic session, every stakeholder is reliable to maintain integrity in the
educational area including teachers to maintain honesty at work, authorities to build trust and
learner to complete their responsibility (Bretag, 2018). Breaching any of academic requirements
consider as academic misconduct and person will be liable for legal and organizational
procedure. To maintain academic integrity in the educational area, authorities or educational
organizational design and develop certain type of policy and procedure including key roles,
responsibility, agreement and value in the workplace. There are certain type of academic
integration, these are:
Honesty at work: Both learner and educator need to stay honesty during their academic session,
this simply means educator have to follow policy and guidelines provided by the authority.
Learner can ensure honesty by avoiding any kind of unethical practice. For example; learner
might avoid plagiarism to maintain honesty towards educational authorities, avoiding plagiarism
will allow learner to create image and reputation in the process. Educator can maintain honest at
work by not involving themselves in misconduct performed by learner, if educator support
plagiarism then both have to face heavy restriction and impact over reputation. Avoiding
dishonest work is way of maintaining academic integrity.
Fairness: This is one of the most important aspect of academic integrity in which learner need to
maintain fairness during their work, fairness simply means ethically completing work. For

example; if learner is assigned with project work, in terms of fairness, they might maintain right
and relevant literature source and certain other aspect of fairness, keeping work as per the quality
requirements is most important element of maintaining fairness during academic session (Morris,
2016). Apart from this, educator need to maintain fairness by allowing diversity to grow, this
simply means equal and fair opportunity to each learner.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education:
Academic integrity is key important aspect in the academic session, learner not only need
to maintain integrity during their educational process, but they need to maintain integrity and
moral concept throughout their career development process (Denisova-Schmidt, 2017).
Academic integrity is process which shape learner's behaviour, formal and ethical manner of
learner allow them to ensure integrity is maintained in the process. There are certain importance
of academic integrity in higher education, these are:
Create image and reputation: Academic integrity is process which need to be followed by each
and every stakeholder in the educational organizational, when learner follows academic integrity
then they ensure reputation is maintained in the eye of authorities, educators and subordinate.
Learner need to follow policy and procedure provided by the authorities to maintain academic
integrity, avoiding or breaching these policies and procedure might impact image and reputation
of learner during academic session and might impact final assessment's grade.
Stepping stone of career: This is one of the reason why academic integrity is important, when
learner try to maintain academic integrity during their academic session, they ensure continuous
growth and stability. Apart from this, learner ensure they are placing strong foundation to their
career development process, however, academic integrity highlight basic requirements including
honesty, fairness, respect, responsibility and trust. Learner need to ensure they maintain integrity
throughout their career development process.
Promote creativity: Academic integrity promote creativity in the educational process, learner
become more creative when they follow academic integrity and ground principles to maintain
integrity in the process. Promotion of creativity can be seen in the process of integrity, learner
become stable when they try to focus on keeping their work as per the requirements (Newton,
2016). For example; learner may keep fairness in their work to ensure creativity is promoted, if
creativity is visible the educator provide grades accordingly. However, learner's own thoughts
and thinking does matter when it comes to ensuring creativity.

Discussing the implications of academic misconduct:
Academic misconduct is critical aspect in academic session, this simply means breaching
policy and procedure that ensure academic integrity. Misconduct occur in two terms, either
learner was unaware about the policy and procedure or learner intentionally performed
misconduct to get ease in the academic process (Awasthi, 2019). Occurrence of misconduct
consider as critical situation in educational context, learner or educator lost their reputation and
image when caught performing academic misconduct, it is very clear that learner become
unstable when they caught with misconduct intentionally. There are certain area of academic
misconduct which need to examined, these are:
Plagiarism: This is one of the most important area which fall under misconduct, learner perform
plagiarism means they have breached out academic integrity, educational organizational policy,
procedure and nation rules for education. Plagiarism simply means learner try to copy work of
someone else and not provide any valid argument, plagiarism occur when learner copy and past
work of other, friends and outsider. Once caught, learner might face critical challenges including
legal action by authorities, termination of academic course and disrespect in educational area.
Falsification: This is another important area in which learner try to provide or include those
informations which is completely wrong and consider as false which might impact reliability of
study. Adding wrong information occur when learner have to finish their assignment in provided
time, inclusion of false information can be seen when learner want to complete their work in
limited time, mistakenly or intentionally, these errors arrive in the project work. Falsification
may lead to failure of learning outcome which means learner might fail in final assessment.
Unauthorized collaboration: This is common type of academic misconduct that occur during
exam or test, there are many cases in which educator and learner collaborate with each other in
terms of cheating and clearing of exam, this act is consider as unauthorized collaboration in
which learner and educator might face serious issue in the educational organization (Parnther,
2020). Authorities have right to suspend or terminate both educator and learner if any of these
act found within the classroom, learner will face issue but educator might lose their employment
during this act of academic misconduct.

SECTION 2
Reflecting on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game for
Project 2:
Academic session contain certain type of activities, learners are provided with game
designing task in which they have to design a game which fulfil the requirement of academic
integrity. I believe, game designing allow learner to become creative (Czauderna, 2018). I was
provided with same task, to design Spin and Win game, I have faced certain type of difficulties
producing this game. I have gained enough knowledge and skills during this game designing
process. I have taken certain type of steps to design this game, these are:
Step 1: Crafting concept of game: Concept is first and most important element in a game, this
simply means I have to define what game is and how this work. This stage was difficult, the Spin
and Win game was common board game but I have to add certain new things and rules in it
which made it challenging for me. However, I have completed this stage with the help of creative
thinking, I took help of my subordinate as well.
Step 2: Resource arrangement: This was second most challenging task during this game
design, I have to arrange certain type of resources to make this game. For example; I have to
arrange cardboards, pen, pencil, paper, place to play and equipment, it took me several days to
arrange every required resource. However, I have rearranged this game within few hours and
game was ready to play.
Step 3: Rule setting: This was another challenging task, although Spin and Win game is most
played game in academic session, players were aware about the rules and procedure of the game.
However, I had brought major changes in rules, I have set new rules which allow me to make
this game more challenging. I have taken care of discrimination and respecting requirement
which means these rules will not impact any player in any way.
Step 4: Final outcome: Testing final result is one of the most important step in designing of
game, I have tested this game before presenting it into audience (Laakso, Korhonen and
Hakkarainen, 2021). I asked my subordinate to play this game and let me observe the weak area,
certain type of modification occurred after completion of testing. I have included final outcome
and designed the game accordingly, there was no mistake left which made this game more
enjoyable in the process.

Reflecting on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing
your game:
Academic session is one of the most important period of every learner, this not only help
learner to grow and shape their career but this provides strong foundation as well (Howard,
2018). This academic year helped me to gain new skills, knowledge and area of expertise, I have
faced major type of difficulties in learning critical skills but successfully covered all my weak
area. I have used certain type of skills producing Spin and Win game, these are:
Creative skills: Creativity does matter when learner want to become different from others, this
simply means learner might consider new way of thinking and performing task. For example;
while producing Spin and Win game, I used creative skills to bring major challenges in rules and
procedure, I even changed the winning criteria of this game allowing me to maintain high level
of interest. Creativity is important, I have set several types of super price in this game which will
allow player to enjoy every step and help them to avoid getting bored, I used my critical thinking
skills with creative skills allowing me to design game accordingly.
Communication skills: Communication skills are the most important, I have strong
communication skills allowing me to design and develop Spin and Win game. For example; I
have communicated rules and procedure of this game with players, tutor and subordinate, strong
communication helped me to lead this game and allowed me to seek help from my subordinate. I
have experienced that communication skills does matter when it comes to leading an academic
task. Apart from communication skills, I have used leadership to lead player and other people
participating and non-participating in the game.
Time management skills: This is one of the most important type of skills required in designing
of game, time management is critical process in which learner complete their task within
provided time period. For example; I have designed Spin and Win game within provided time
period, I have managed my task and each step of developing this game (Bacha, 2018). However,
there were certain area where I lacked behind managing my time and task effectively. Time
management is only possible when learner have ability to manage task according to set limit, I
have set time for each task included in designing of game.
