Reflection of personal development of study skills Most of the common but eth crucial skills are developed during eth students’ academic life which makes it important in identifying eth effective university student. The most important academic skill is time management which has helped me in developing a balance between my academic and personal life. This is eth much needed skill as there are times when I have to work more towards the completion to the project which affects my personal life and making me feel tired and unenergetic. But through this skill, I have been able to make my work more effectively resulted into overcoming eth tiredness.Nowadays most of the project requires working on the word, excel and PowerPoint and this IT system is being encouraged by eth university so that student are able to work on them which will also help career development. Thus, this skill has helped in improving my technological knowledge and understanding which is important for becoming an effective academic student. Another important skill that I have learned is the team working skills which has helped me in getting interacted with the students of the diverse background which is considered to be essential in regard to the completion of the projects or eth activities given in groups. In order to further improve in all eth skills listed above, certain SMART goals is being prepared which clearly states about the ways in which the development of the skills can be effectively measured.It also specifies the time frame which is required for achieving the desired goals. Conclusion On the basis of above report it can be articulated that goals in respect to time management, technology knowledge and team work. PART B CASE STUDY Introduction Child labour is part of criminal activities according to rules and regulations which harmful for physical and mental health of children. In current scenario, it is important to address the issue of child labour to mitigate related results. The current case study based on evaluating the argument for and in against of banning all forms of child labour in supply chain. Discussion Child labor is found in all types industries like manufacturing, fashion, etc. which is required to address as a critical issue to get the ability to reduce its adverse impact. In addition to this, there are as well some points which are taken according in the favor of this specified issue. This is basically found advantageous in favor of employers as they receive full optimization of their efforts at cheap cost (Sadler Lawrence, 2020.).There huge demand in the products of industrial and other types of goods. It is crucial for the organization to have efficient supply chain to cope with changing requirements of customers. Rapid demand of products enables the organization to find those workers who are semi-skilled and has not voice to take step against firm. In order to fulfill this criteria, firm focuses on obtaining labors at cheaper rate so that higher profitability with stability of operations can be maintained(Jariego, 2021).There are various types of level of income occurring citizen in country and due to lack of capacity of fulling basic needs children are forced to work for earning livelihood. It helps in gaining ability to help family to fulfilling basic necessities to survive. In aspect of organizational benefits apart from profitability, enterprise get complex free working scenario through getting targeted workers who are not aware of employment law so it saves unnecessary cost of providing training, development, etc. in supply chain the work is only associated with carrying and transferring raw materials, WIP as well finished products for making them reachable to customers.On the basis of this, it can be articulated that banning child labor can result in increasing poverty level at larger extent which will result in lack of power to accomplish basic necessities. Industries are usually developed in rural areas that resulted in inclining of this children laboring due to unawareness of its consequences (El Wali, Golroudbary and Kraslawski, 2021). There are various consequences of child labor in supply chain are found which is mainly impact the mental & physical state of children. It is affects educational rights of children which results 1
in lack of perpetuating quality of their life.Depressing wages and salary is another most important issue that tend to face by child labors which outcome in continuous poverty state of living. In emotional sense, there is higher impact on minor workers which affects personal development.There are several rules, regulations and laws are formulated at national as well global level to draw attention of business on serious note regarding its consequences on economic development in terms of longer duration.In order ban such practices various unions andcouncilsareestablishedtoprovideequalopportunitytochildrenforgrowthand development.There is requirement of implementing restricting on utilizing child as labor for enabling them to get better standard of living to decline poverty line industry. It will be measure actions as effective governance and social dialogue are considered as keystone to fight against child labor (Williams, Williams and Dutta, 2020).Implementation of continuous inspections in organizational supply chain practice to mitigate the consequences resulting in underdevelopment of children. Trade union play main role in restricting minor laboring by providing training and awareness about their rights regarding ethical practices.Mainstreaming child labor concerns in collective bargaining agreement with global agreement is exerted to meet objective of declining margin of illegal activities. Supply chain is concerned with raw material inputs, processing, transformation, final product assembly, etc. in order to get these procedures done effectivelyenterprise indulged into taking benefits from child labor (Sultana, 2020.). These all actions are done for the personal benefit of organization which is influencing growth & development of children in larger run. It became important to take crucial practices through collaborating in holistic manner.On the basis of this, it can be interpretedbanning child labor will aid in eliminating poverty, boosting educational system, better standard of living, etc. to provide opportunity for better economic development can be attained. In addition to this, it can be exerted by removing obstacle of schooling,formulatingstrictpoliciesimplementingofUNICEF,etcforaddressingand overcoming root causes to achieve positive results.It can be stated that it is beneficial for children, companies and economyto ban and overcome this critical issue regarding child labor in supply chain. Conclusion and recommendations From the above report it can be concluded that child laboring is crucial issue to address in current scenario. In addition to this, the present case study has highlighted information for and 2
in against of child labor in supply chain. It can be interpreted that supply chain is one the functional area where firm largely utilize children as workers to get benefit of reducing costs associated with it to incline their profit margin. In aspect of poverty, families find it beneficial to get enough purchasing power to accomplish basic requirement for survival. On the other side, it is found to be harmful for children mental as well physical health as lack of educational opportunity for personal development is obtained. Recommendation It is recommended that child labor should be banned for enabling children to get their rights regarding education, health, safety, living, etc. This major issue of globe can be declined by formulating strict actions addressing and overcoming obstacles in compliance with legal actions. It will assist in achieving ease in smooth functioning of organization through avoiding potential obligations that may hinder performance. It is suggested that spreading awareness in rural areas about current & potential consequences of child labor can help in reducing it.Importance of education should be provided to increase alertness about rights of children. 3
