INTRODUCTION
Academic plagiarism refers to the presentation of someone else's work or their ideas as
own, with or without there respective consent. The act of academic plagiarism in business
context is unethical and illegal as it presents unwillingness to work and dishonesty. It is crucial
for an individual to have academic integrity which involves doing the right thing and being fair
relative to ones work. It means upholding academic honesty such that one can do their work and
resist help from others even when offered in order to keep their work original. The following
report will discuss the understanding of academic plagiarism along with its role in business
environment.

Discussing the Knowledge and understanding of Academic Plagiarism.
Academic plagiarism involves the inappropriate copying of source from an another
author without providing them deserved creditability for their source. This misrepresentation of
work and copying is consider a serious offence which can result in penalization due to copyright
laws. These laws are put in place to rightfully protect authors and owners of content from
plagiarism (Dougherty ., 2020). The duplication or coping of work reduce the originality of
work itself, and therefore reducing the knowledge and skills of the write itself. It is crucial to
create unique content is it provides assistance in different areas of life and promote both personal
and professional growth. There are various forms of plagiarism that are used by individual in
their work, some of the types are mentioned below:
Direct plagiarism:
This form of plagiarism is the most common and involves copying content of other writes
and authors form various sources without appropriate recognition. In this type of plagiarism text
and information are not altered which makes it highly unethical relative to their own work and
the original content writer as well.
Mosaic plagiarism:
This is an another form of plagiarism an involves unintentional copying of content. The
plagiarist may have mentioned a part of the source from the original context of the writer but has
not acknowledges the quoted parts or provide quotation makes appropriately (Lazar ., 2020).
