INTRODUCTION
Academic research refers to the thorough investigation about what is known about the
given topic. There is requirement to analyse and examine the scholar sources while completing
the assignment. While doing the research it is important to have knowledge regarding the
academic writing where it is mostly about the concise, clear, structured, focused and backed up
by the evidences(Akhtar and et.al., 2020). In the present report, a topic has been chosen which
is named as “The impact of Building Information Modelling”. The present report will cover
discussion about the learning and development process and also about the how the learning has
been used in the future studies and development plans. In addition to this, the report will cover
analysis about the plans for improvement into continuous manner and the impact on career
development. Moreover, the report will cover analysis about the feelings while presenting to the
peers.

Reflection on the learning and development process
Learning and development refers to the process into systematic manner which enhances
the employees knowledge, skills and competency which results into better performance into the
work setting. There are certain steps which have been included in the learning and development
process as well. It include assessment, design, motivation, delivery and evaluation as well. In
context to the topic of The impact of Building Information Modelling, while I was learning I
have to face certain challenges. The challenges have been faced when the implementation task
force and pilot project manager try to achieve the BIM in order to change the internal working
process of the contracting authorities. In addition to this, the work practices of the suppliers they
require to do the reorganisation(Belcher., 2019). At the time of learning, it is important that to
have proper evaluation about the topic so that resultant steps taken towards it into positive
manner. It is important to have proper structure for the purpose of design of the learning module.
I have felt that it is important to have motivation level from the long run perspective so that
interest has been created within the topic into positive manner. When the learning has been done
into appropriate terms it is important to have proper knowledge regarding delivery of
information. I have also felt that learning is not only important so its necessary that to evaluate
the other parameters as well so that overall learning becomes more efficient and effective as

well. The learning is important because according to changing period of time, within the
construction industry new technologies and innovation have been coming into continuous
manner so its very important for me to update the knowledge into positive manner. This topic is
also important because this industry is accepting the new ways of working and also modified the
work accordingly for it into positive manner. That's why it is very important for me to learn
about this topic and also about its process as well with the right kind of approach.
How the learning has been used in the future studies and development plans as well
This learning can be used into professional context which is very beneficial for my
further growth and development as well. Within the construction industry, there are different
kinds of profiles if the individual has proper knowledge and experience about it. There are
certain challenges regarding building information modelling where it is necessary to have some
patience level and broader mind as well(Budjalemba and Listyani., 2020). I have used this
learning while starting my own business and in this digital world it is very important for me to
have updation regarding different kinds of technologies. From the future perspective, there will
be various technologies which will come which makes the work more easier and efficient as well
so the knowledge regarding these technologies helps me in terms of making my career more
stronger. When I have gained knowledge, experience and skills then it help in terms of both the
kinds of life which include the general and in the life as well. When knowledge and skills have
been gained then it contribute into context of enhancing my confidence level towards the higher
studies of this field only.
When I have worked into continuous manner within this field then it enhances not only
my experience level but also increases the network level on the fast pace manner. When I have
worked into continuous manner then it will gives me the wide scope regarding the field which
can be related to international level. The continuous improvement not only makes me financially
very strong but also enhances my personality as well with the right kind of approach. From the
future perspective, development plans basically documents the goals, required skill and
competency development(Clark and Sousa., 2018). In addition to this, it is about the objectives
which a staff member need to accomplish for supporting the continuous improvement and career
development as well. According to this learning, i have decided that i have reach at the
managerial position within this industry so for that purpose it is important for me to have proper
structure about my development plan.

It is important to have proper goal regarding the higher position so that I can take actions
accordingly for it. According to the development plan it is necessary for me to prioritise the
goals and also set the deadlines for it so that I can achieve my goals within the set period of time.
It is necessary to have deeper analysis about my strengths and opportunities so that I can work
accordingly for it and also important for m to develop these skills into effective manner(Langum
and Sullivan., 2020). The knowledge which I have gained from the module help me in terms of
making network on the larger scale and measure the progress accordingly for it. In this manner, i
have used the development plan to work in this particular industry. That's why it is very
important for me to have proper knowledge regarding the field so that further actions can be
taken for it.
Reflection on the completion of the presentation including the feelings about presenting
information to peers
I have completed the presentation with the right kind of approach which is related to the
topic. When I was presenting information to my peers then I was feeling very confident, excited
and spontaneous as well regarding the questions asked by my peers. While I was presenting the
information to my peers I was feeling little bit nervous because I was afraid from certain kind of
questions regarding the technical perspective. As I have proper knowledge regarding the topic
but somewhere I was feeling little bit under confident because first time I was facing such a large
number of group of people specially they are the peers(Giltrow and et.al., 2021). I am confident
about the objective of my presentation, the subject and the audience as well where I can easily
deliver the knowledge with the right kind of approach. I t is important for me to present the
knowledge into short and concise manner so that I can deliver the information with full
confidence level. These are the feelings which I have felt while presenting information to my
peers with the right kind of approach. That's why it is important to have proper knowledge
regarding the topic into detailed form so that there is no kind of fear while presenting the
information.

it is very important for individual to develop the personal development plan in order to
analyse the areas which need to be improve for better performance.. the PDP is conducted below

Cognitive skills This is the most effective skills
which is required in order to

The above stated report concludes that academic research and skills plays a very
significant role at the organisational and university level as well. It has been concluded that while
learning it is important to focus on the process rather than finishing the learning into fast pace
manner. It has been determined that the learning needs to be implemented into the practical life
so that it can be learnt from the long run perspective. The application of knowledge is very
important so that it can be experienced into real life situations as well. It has been observed that
the learning can be effective when it has been used within the career and also becomes the part of
development part as well. So when the things have been learnt then it is important to have skill
regarding the delivery of information to other people. So for that purpose it is necessary that to
have certain kind of presentation skills as well which act as base for my entire career life into
positive manner. That's why it is important to have academic research and skill as well.
