Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development plan is a criterion which is made to improve the
development skills within an individual and it also help to analyze that how a goal can be
achieved. It is analyzed to know what the weak skills of a person are and how to improve
them to achieve life goals. Personality skills are those skills which are considered to show
the impact of an individual’s reputation and image on others (Nair and Fahimirad, 2019). A
good personally person always attracts their surroundings to them by improving their
reputation. The main aim of personal and professional development is to help an individual
to achieve their goals of life. Personal skills are that skill which is essential to create a good
reputation in society and professional skills are those skills which are required to perform
the desired job. Both the skills are helpful to work upon making good life career.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals

Short term goals- These are the goals which supposed to be achieved within a year
(Kunrath, Cash and Kleinsmann, 2020). Short term goals are helpful to achieve long term
goals. Few of my short term goals are mentioned below-
 To improve communication skill
 To focus on health and become health conscious.
 To develop debate skills.

Medium term goals- These are the goals which take 2-3 years to get completed.
These goals are considered as base of achieving main goal of career. These goals also help to
decide the actual career of an individual that in which job we want to make our future
bright. My medium term goals are-
 To get more than 85% marks in graduation.
 To get the batch of best discipline head of college committee.
 To get placement in high reputed company.

Long term goals- These goals usually take more than 5 years to get achieved. This
goal plays an important role in satisfying an individual because it is last stage to achieve
whatever a person wants in his life (Hildebrand, 2018). My long term goals are mentioned
below-
 To have world tour with family.
 To start my own business.
