Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development is related to human development in terms of the skills,
knowledge , employability and wealth of an individual it is not only developing personal
skills but also adds up to the professional development by contributing to employability,
skills and increases productivity of an individuals(Bennett-Levy, 2019). Hence personal
development helps you achieve quality of living and potential by developing skills by
continuously adding knowledge and training to stay update with the changing environment
from time to time which helps an individual to have a bright career in future.
Description and discussion of the value of short-term goals identifying at
least 3 personal examples
Short term goals are the goals which are to be achieved in the near month, week and
something which is to be achieved in a short time span. The time range for short term goal
may range from 3 to 6 months. They are helpful to achieve a larger or big objective by
working on small goals which helps you to focus on small things at a time in order to increase
the efficiency and success in the near future. Some examples of short terms goals are-
Time managing skills.
Developing saving plans for future goals.
Personal growth .
Description and discussion of the value of medium-term goals identifying at
least 3 personal examples
Medium-term goals are a set of goals between short term and long term goals they are
bit longer than short term but shorter time span than the long term goals. They are important
to stay an individual motivated towards their goals. There time duration may range from 8
months to 1 year. These intermediate goals helps an individual to achieve their goals and
targets.
Getting networks with people.
Earning a certificate for a skill.
Completing a degree.

Long terms goals are required a long period of time. It is planning to achieve
something in future which can take years to be achieve(Changwony, Campbell, and Tabner,
2021). These are the goals and objectives of one's life which requires efforts, potential and
cost to be achieved. They are the ultimate goals planned for the future. Some examples of
long term goals are-
To be a successful leader.
Higher growth in living standards and life.
To work with a reputed organisation.
