INTRODUCTION
Technology is an important factor which supports business organisation either small,
medium or large to achieve growth and success for longer period of time. Adopting advanced
and efficient digital technologies in the operations of company help in finding new and efficient
ways to complete business functions. Through using digital technology, the company can easily
attain huge profits through reducing operational cost with the help of using digital technology.
Career moves group, a small sized company which deals in providing professional services such
as staffing and recruitment of an individuals is taken for the purpose of preparing this report. The
main purpose of preparing this project report is to provide the importance of digital technology
in the growth of business (Crane and Matten, 2016). The project covers the aims and objectives
of company for using digital technology along with project management plan, organisational
structure and stages of completions of project. There are various tools and techniques which
helps in interpretation of data gathered from research along with recommendation are discussed
under this report.
TASK 1
P1: Aims and objectives regarding application of digital technology
Career Moves group is small sized company which offers consultancy services in UK for
the people who are looking for jobs in different sectors. The main aim of company is to recruit
skilled and qualified employees for the companies which are capable to doping business
achieving in an effective and efficient manner. They are responsible to fulfil the requirements of
corporate sector and individual who are looking to get job. Thus they always looking to expand
their business activities with the help of using digital technologies. For example the company
should required to focus on using online technology in order to offer advertisement at social sites
or company's sites etc. Through this, the company can able to attract large number of candidates
at minimum times and cost (Den Hertog, Van der Aa and De Jong, 2010). As it has been recently
noted that most of the young generation are active on the internet and thus using internet
platform for inviting large number of candidates are easy for them which help them in expanding
their business activities as well.

Technology is an important and crucial factor which help company in increasing day to
day operation of business through which the company can able to capture large market share in
UK. Thus adopting digital technology provides a platform with the help of which the company
can able ton use tools and techniques to research about market forces, competitors, customer
preferences etc. This will help company in understanding the demand arises in market in the
future and accordingly providing services to fulfil their requirements. It ill also help in
identifying the new diversified business ideas through which they can expand business activities
on a large scale. In the present scenario, Career Moves Group also need to use digital technology
such as social media which help them in inviting eligible and qualified candidate to apply for the
vacant job through using online platform (DRURY, 2013).

The main aim of the Career Moves Group is to expand business activities through
adopting social media as digital technology. They are mainly focuses on attracting candidates
and inform them about the vacant job arises at various companies.

P2: Project management plan
The management of company has required to formulate an effective plan if they want to
adopt digital technology in an efficient manner that will help them in bringing positive outcomes
in near future. Thus the managers need to focus on various factors such as identification of cost,
scope of new technology, time used in implementation such plans, risk involved and issues
related to communication. These all factors will help managers in enhancing their business
operations in successful manner (Eckerson, 2010). As Career Moves Group is a consultancy firm
which deals improving job consultancy services to the people of UK. If they to expand their

business activities then they need to focus on implementing digital technologies through which
they can communicate large number of candidates regarding the vacancies arises in various
companies. To prepare project management plan, following factors need to be considered:
Scope of project: Before implementing the digital technology, the managers of Career
Moves Group need to think first the chances of getting profitable outcomes received in future.
The managers need to ensure that using digital technologies should help company in minimising
the operational cost and improves profitability. This methods helps company in reaching large
number of candidates of whole country (Garrison and et. al., 2010).
Cost: Career Moves Group need to have sufficient funds in order to implement digital
technology more successfully. Therefore the managers need to first modify their policies and
develop their websites through which they can place their advertisements of vacant posts.
Thereafter, they also need to know whether their employees are capable of using such digital
technologies and accordingly provide training programs to them if required. This will help
company in increasing their profitability and sustainability.
Time: Providing training programs to the employees in order to improve their knowledge
about using digital technology consumes more time and cost. But it will bring beneficial result to
company longer term. This will help company in meeting corporate company's requirements
within limited period of time through providing them skilled and qualified candidates for the job
position they offered. This will help company in establishing better relation with corporate
business which indirect benefits to them.
Communication: Using online technology to advertise the available vacancies removes
the communication gap between the company and candidates as they can easily ask queries from

The company need to first conduct research about particular matters before thinking of
implementing the digital technology in business operations as it will help them in bringing
positive outcomes in near future (Gebauer, Edvardsson and Bjurko,2010). Therefore, with the

help of data and information collected from research, the manager can able to make an effective
strategies and plans with a motive of expanding their business operation on large scale. The
management need to focus on identifying the eligible candidates and guide them to improve their
skills so as to meet desired criteria. Conducting research on market help them in knowing the
way of using digital technology in more profitable way. Through implementing strategies
regarding adoption of digital marketing, the company can able to achieve competitive advantages

management has to target 50 respondents from total number of population to whom the questions
has been asked regarding impact of digital technology and the chances of getting positive
outcome in near future. This will help management in getting the views of respondents related to
the services they provided. Literature review is also required to conduct by the management. The
company can easily reach on an effective decision regarding adopting online methods of
selection through collecting feedbacks from respondents selected with the help of random
sampling method.
Through research, the management finally reach to a decision where they want to decide
whether they required to implement digital technology or not. The resources with the help of
which the information can be gathered through using primary method which gives reliable and
accurate information related to the behaviour of candidates towards selection process (Smith,
Binns, and Tushman, 2010). For this, the management need to be prepared questionnaire
consisting of 10 questions which are required to asked regarding the impact of digital technology

There are basically two methods such as qualitative and quantitative method through
which the researcher can conduct their research in more effective manner and collect theoretical
and practical knowledge about their research topic. The result will be more profitable and useful
if collected information are more reliable and accurate. Th main topics on which the research
should be conducted are about market, competitors, strategies, services offered, market position
etc. These research results will help company in expanding their business operation on a large
scale. There are two methods of collecting data which are primary and secondary. Through using
primary method, the researcher can able to collect fist hand information which is collected
through face-to-face interaction with respondents (Incelli, 2013.). Therefore such information are
more accurate and reliable which brings positive outcome to company as well. Whereas, through

using secondary method, the researcher can able to collect information from the articles,
newspapers, magazines etc. which is not that much accurate and reliable thus less effective than
primary method. To adopt primary method, the researcher need to prepare at least 10 questions
that has been asked and collect feedbacks regarding adoption of digital technology (Simons,
2013).
The methods which are useful in conducting research about different aspects which are as
follows:

 Quantitative
 Analytical
The researcher has been informed from the management to adopt only two methods such
as qualitative and quantitative methods.
Primary source of collection: It is considered as an effective method which brings
accurate and reliable information from the respondents about the research topic. Adopting such
method consumes more time and money but brings accurate information which will be helpful in
making an effective decision (Jones and Lubinski, 2012). The company can able to know the
exact behaviour and interest of candidates towards adopting digital technology. To collect
information through using such methods, the researcher need to prepare questionnaire consisting

are not reliable and accurate as it has been collected through newspapers, magazines, articles etc.

capture large market share. To attain this, the company need to focus on using online platform

Career Moves Group is small sized company which deals in providing professional
services related with recruitment and selection in UK. Their primary objective is to expand
business operation on a large scale and earn huge profits. Therefore, adopting social media as
marketing tool help company in reaching to maximum number of qualified candidates who are
eligible to recruit in reputed companies (Otley and Emmanuel, 2013). To identify the
effectiveness of social media as digital tool, the research uses primary sources to collect data
such as questionnaire, survey which brings reliable and accurate result for them. From the above
questionnaire, it is clearly seen that social media help Career Moves Group in achieving huge
customer strength and high sustainability in market. Therefore, Career Moves Group need to
invest more in the adoption of digital technology so as to achieve growth and expansion of
business. Using social media to invite candidates for the interview to reputed company, it
directly minimises the cost and time of company as well as efforts and burden of their employees
as well. Therefore it has been concluded from the above research that the company can easily

achieve competitive advantage and improves profitability through using digital technology in the
business activities (Scapens and Bromwich, 2010).

P7: Value of undertaking research to meet objectives
There are different problems which may restrict researcher to collect accurate and reliable
information about required subject matter. Thus, an appropriate plans need to be formulated and
executed it properly. The problems may be related with cost, time and disinterest of candidate to
give feedbacks regarding adoption digital technology. During research, I have limited amount of
funds which brings difficulties in conducting proper research. The result may also affected due to
this. Therefore there are many difficulties I faced during collecting information from
respondents. I can able to reach to only 50 respondents from large number of people due to
having insufficient time (Shang, 2012). To support my result, I also used secondary method to
gather information but it want reliable and accurate as compared with information collected from
primary method. There are various platform through which I able to collect useful and relevant
data. After that I put my maximum efforts in making research more successful and to become
positive outcome to company. This will help management in making an effective decision with
the help of such given information and thus they are able to decide whether adoption of digital
technology brings profitable outcome to company in near future or not (Introducing Research
Methods, 2017).
CONCLUSION
It has been concluded from the above report that, there is huge importance of digital
technology regarding development of the functions of organization. it provides the opportunity
regarding improves the performance of employees through application of innovative
technologies. Career moves group is recruitment company which provides their services
regarding selection of candidates which are more skilful and knowledgeable. Innovation in
selection process helps in gathering of candidates from all over the world.
