Introduction:
The director who is being identified for the study is that of the Alfred Hitchcock. He is
one of the most significant director of the English film, popularly known as the Master of the
uncertainty (Burget, Martin). More than fifty films is being directed by him in a span of six
decades. He is born in Leytonstone Essex and He arrived the film Industry in the year 1919 as
the designer of the title card after completing his training as the technical clerk and for a copy
writer for a telegraph cable corporation. His first administrative presentation was with the film
The pleasure garden in the year 1925 (Haeffner, Nicholas) However, the first successful movie
of his career is that of The Lodger: A Story of the London Fog in the year 1927. By the year
1939, Hitchcock turned out to be the filmmaker of the international importance (Taylor, John
Russell). The popular producer of the film David O.Sekznick influenced him to move to
Hollywood after which he directed many successful films like Rebecca and Foreign
Correspondent in the year 1940, Suspicion in the year 1941 and the Shadow of the Doubt in the
year 1943 (Hitchcock, Alfred)
Honors and Awards received by the director
Alfred Hitchcock was nominated as the best director for six times in the Academy awards
and was nominated for four periods in the Emmy Awards. Eight Golden Laurel awards as well as
the two golden globes award was won by him. Apart from these, the Irving G, AFI life
achievement award, Saturn award, the national board of review of Motion Pictures award are
received by him. Apart from these, he also won Silver Shell Awards at San Sebastian
International Film Festival that occurred in Spain, the kinema Junpo Awrard in Japan. Apart
from this, it is worth noteworthy that six of the movies that were directed by him got inducted
