INTRODUCTIONInter-professional Collaborative Practice can b determined as the joint support ofdifferent people who have vast experience from their respective field and they are helpful enoughto work together as a team and deliver effective care to patients (Schmitt, Blue and Viggiano,2011 ). Present report is on a case study of Mr William Bosch who was 77 years old who washospitalised due to stroke. This report covers the core competencies of Inter professionalCollaborative Practice. Lastly it also includes Inter professional approach for Mr Bosch’s carethat should be followed.1. Core competencies of Interprofessional Collaborative PracticeThere are four different type of inter-professional competencies and each of them arewith general defining statement. Further, it also includes behavioural sub-competencies whichlearner should possess. Below given are the core competencies of Inter-professionalCollaborative Practice:Ethics/values: It is essential for the professional working with other professionalsmaintain proper climate in which all individuals will be able to work effectively and efficiently(Gittell, Godfrey and Thistlethwaite, 2013). Further, there should be set of values that should befollowed so that individuals will be able to develop trust and confidence with each other. Role and responsibilities: All the professional involved in the care should have properknow ledge about the type of role and responsibilities that has to be played. They should addressthe health needs of patients and accordingly care should be provided. Inter-professional communication: Communication play vital role in understanding thetype of issues that are being faced and to avoid confusions. It is essential to have propercommunication between patients and other professional so that effective care can be delivered. Teams and teamwork: It requires relationship building of values and other principles ofteam in order to perform efficiently in various type of team roles (Orchard, 2010). 2. Outlining and analyzing approach of interprofessional for Mr. Bosch careThere are several approaches which can be applied by care home for Mr. Bosch. For thispurpose, patient-centered care is the more effective under which shared decision will be taken fortaking care of the patients. This proves to be effective in deriving valid outcome. As currently thepatient is not allowing nursing staff to assist with the hygiene needs or pressure care.
