1ANALYSIS OF SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION Search engine optimization, also known as SEO is classified as an algorithm that helps in the process which deals with the visibility of the website and web page in the internet. The algorithm is responsible for analyzing the most searched amount of websites in the internet and then presenting them to the users. It works by making the webpages visible in the web search engines as unpaid results which is also referred to be natural and organic or often known as earned results. There have been many obligations regarding the data manipulation and privacy matters regarding the privacy policies of search engine optimization as the BIG DATA produced by the search engine could be accessed (Luh, Yang and Huang 2016). The following essay would be discussing about the controversies that have been raised due to the privacy of data of search engine optimization. There are many high ends search engines that is accessed all around the globe and also rules the internet. Some of the top search engines are – Google, Bing, Yahoo, Ask.com and Baidu. People uses these search engines to access the internet. They could search about anything in the search engines which allows them to access the different websites in the internet (Baye et al. 2016). The data that is searched by the users are to be secured and not to be accessed by anyone as it is the responsibility of these companies to protect the data and the privacy of their users. The internet is a place with unlimited resources and possibilities and the things that are searched by the users are strictly personal, and is needed to be protected by these organizations (Palanisamy and Liu 2018.). The users should feel safe while accessing the search engines. They data could contain vital personal information and many important information regarding the operation in business of many organizations. Thus, strict privacy policies and procedures are required for protecting these data.
2ANALYSIS OF SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION After the arrival of the social networking sites that people uses to connect with one another, the applications have the personal details about their all user. Search engines helps them in entering the sites and they also have the access to these social networking sites. There are issues that have been raised against the concerns related to the privacy of social networking services and it being accessed by the search engine optimization or search engine optimizers. The privacy matter could also be classified as a subset of privacy of the data that involves in mandating personal data and privacy concerns that are being stored in the clouds of the search engines (Zhang and Cabage 2017). There are also concerns related to the re-purposing and using the data to lure third parties for buying the data for advertisements. There have been many controversies related to the search engine optimization. One of latest controversies that have raised regarding the search engine tycoon Google (Google.com 2019). CEO of the organization, Sundar Pichai was asked by the congress of the United States of Americafor providinga testimonyregardingthe activitiesof Googlein monitoringthe movement of their users and also regarding the collection of privacy data of the users (Ledford 2015). The lawmakers were accusing the organization for data manipulation and collection of privacy data of the users and also tracking the movement of the users that have linked there smart phones with the search engine application. It is said that Google have been collecting the privacy data of their users by ranking their most searched options in the internet and selling them to advertisement companies for further uses. These data is used by the organizations for productions of advertisements by soring the products available in the le websites that they have visited (Rutz and Bucklin 2016). These have been considered as a major misuse of the personal data that have been generated by the users in the search engines. Google have also been accused for tracking the movement of their users with the help of location application. The application

Instead of that, if the location application is on, Google would be tracking the movement of their users; like places they are visiting frequently. Thus, these numerous amount of data’s are being stored in the system of the Google which they have been accused of misusing. These kind of privacy data manipulation is considered as unethical. Thus, the essay could be conclude by providing a brief overview on the privacy data monitoring of the search engine optimizations’ organization’s like Google and other social networking sites. There have been many records of accusations that have been placed over these search engines for the manipulation of data and storing and stealing the privacy of their users. These kind of activities are unethical as human beings are entitled of having their own personal spaces and personal agendas for accessing the internet of their own will.
