The scope of reflective practice is integral to learning allowing a have a look back on the
entire process of learning. While developing the project on Aviation security, there has been a
tremendous transfer of knowledge that has taken place. Developing the plan on aviation security
had been quite a challenge as it was as if undertaking a practical experience. Firstly, identifying
an incident where an accident had taken place and then conducting a Bowtie Analysis for
analyzing security incident required extensive brainstorming. While the project seemingly felt
secure, it was somewhat confusing when I was trying to make the template with the security
threat incident. Then undertaking a planned approached help me, where I had jotted down the
areas where I knew about the particular event. For example, an incident where details of
Preventive Control Measures were absent would not serve as an appropriate incident for the
topic. Planning helped me in accomplishing the objectives stated in the project. My third area of

learning had comprehended an episode. While there are various types of events in airport
security threats present, it is essential that I understand the topic well such as to create a mind
map. Learning had been to design mind map or any other project representation using clarity.
Clarity and refinement of pictorial representation are essential such that others can understand
the same.
The project provided me with practical knowledge and experience to enable me to take
up the future project of similar or more complex nature. Though the project was highly
complicated, it provided me with the courage to take up and analyze complex projects. My
feeling from this project had been very positive and encouraging. The complexity of the project
allowed me to explore concepts related to the project in detail. The domain of Aviation Security
and Aviation Management is rapidly expanding and become more insecure about the increasing
number of passenger and commercial flights. Pretending to be a consultant in Aviation Security
requires carrying out tasks with highest possible diligence and careful planning. This project
allowed developing such a sense of real-time experience.
My entire learning process was assisted and aided by my professors and tutors of the
subject. With their assistance, I was able to develop the confidence to undertake such extensive
planning. The University dashboard provided a large number of materials for learning and
finding appropriate resources relative to the topic, which assisted the learning process further.
The learned elements included materials which were used for developing this project and
constructing ideas related to it. There were several mind maps and other drawings which
included analysis of similar incident hence assisted in making the picture for this project.
In the course of learning, there were several goods and bads, which was encountered
which helped reveal the strengths and weaknesses of my knowledge. The bad part of the learning

experience is that the language in which I had jotted down my learning was not very
professional. As I was writing down each step and analyzing the case, the speech was written in
short form which I could not later decipher. I could not later examine my writing. Hence I
needed to improvise on my language and communications skills. I need to start working on my
language and communicative skills immediately. The good part of this learning experience was
highlighting of the fact that I am technically sound. I am easily able to draw the project case and
undertake Bowtie analysis for complex projects. Therefore the critical strength of my learning is
the ability to adopt a skill dynamically. Another key advantage of mine is the capability to
undertake technical projects and complete them with ease. I am an aggressive learner and hard
working too, I am always eager to make learning experiences. My weakness that was highlighted
from this learning experience is my introversion. Every time I faced difficulty with my project, I
could not easily face it and take it to my professor. Though I knew that my professor could easily
guide me and help me out of my worries yet, my introvert nature stopped me from it.
The learning experience provided me with several goods and bads, reflecting upon
strength and weakness along with my feelings. I need to devise a plan to overcome the negatives
of the learning experience in the future, such that I can undertake projects at a later period. I need
to overcome my shyness and introvert nature as in plans I will need to work in a group. I need to
communicate in an open manner such that I can clarify my doubts and resolve queries related to
the project. I will need to improvise on my language skills as well. Language and grammatical
skills are essential when one wants to score high marks. As I am determined to score high marks
and perform well in the future, I will read through and evaluate my grammatical skills. Another
significant improvisation that I need to undertake is in the area of self-inflicted learning
procedure. I am a dependent learner; I generally wait for my professor to discuss a topic in class

and clarify my doubts. Henceforth I need to undertake self-inflicted learning such that I am
prepared well ahead of my course, such that I can pose appropriate questions and clear my
doubts during class hours. I will maintain a personal journal to record my learning, and I will
update it on a six months basis. This will help me analyze my development and learning skills.

1. Whenever I encountered difficulties in the tutorials, assignment, and projects, my tutor
guided me and helped me with relevant materials. My university dashboard is extensive
and contains large unit outline with content enabling learning.
2. In the class, there were ample opportunities given in doubt clarification. There was
separate time available where all students were allowed time to pose questions.
3. Only after clarifying doubts with my tutor, I can feel competent on proceeding to solve
the problem.
4. I have a clear understanding of the aims and objectives of this subject.
5. There were different concepts covered in this subject, most of them were within my
grasp. The issue where I had certain doubts, was clarified through doubt clearing class
and sessions with my professors.
6. After undertaking the project, I can make a connection between the various concepts that
were taught in the course.
7. The discussion in the tutorial was intense and included several concepts which allowed
reinforcing of the ideas learned.
8. Solving problems was of immense importance as it allowed understanding of relevant

9. The solving of the problems helped me in various aspects, one of which was in applying
knowledge in this subject. Through the problem solving, I was able to explore the
concept related to the topic and undertake the challenge of resolving the issue.

subject.
11. The tutorials and handouts were appropriately organized in proper sequence.
12. The handouts provided us with many useful learning related to the subject as it contained
