1ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY
Introduction
One of the major challenges faced by the developing countries of the world is population
growth and their effective control. There are multiple reasons for the effective management of
increasing population and this includes measures like eradicating poverty, empowerment of the
marginalized population, medical assistance, schemes and awareness among the people (Coale et
al., 2015). However this issue is more complex in real world scenarios. This paper deals with the
issue of population growth, their management and efforts by the governments, rationale behind
the efforts and finally the issue of successful management of the population reduction.

deforestation. The author points put that the reason behind the measures taken by the respective
governments of the country is that the higher population rate has the relation with the
environmental damage and climatic change and there is a need t reduce this process in order to
make the world more sustainable. The article deals with the possible environmental changes
through the analysis of the geographical factors and this is based on the analysis of primary data.
This essay has been used I order to understand and analyze the link environmental degradation
and population growth. This is a reliable source of data since it has used multiple charts and
graphs to represent and substantiate the data. However, there are certain shortcomings of the
article as it fails to analyze the alternative methods of analyzing the issue.

Colonial Vietnam. Journal of Colonialism and Colonial History, 19(3).
This article examines the issue of overpopulation and the government’s efforts to reduce
the it’s through the process of birth control activities and change in the sexual behavior. This
deals with the measures taken by the Vietnamese government in reducing the problem of
overpopulation this is encouraged by the government to bring about changes in the sexual
behavior of people. This has given abroad understanding of the rationale and of the government
in decreasing the population growth. The central argument as has been out forward by the author
in this article is that the practice of child rearing has an important impact: however there are
there are more to the issue of increasing population. This highlights the link between the birth
control measures and cultural norms of the population. This is a significant source to analyze the
issue since it validates the measures of birth control taken up by the governments in reducing the
issue of overpopulation and highlights the measures that can be opted for the reduction of
population in countries. The strength of the article is that it deals with the example of a former
French colony and nuances faced by the colonies in terms of population growth.

This article is important from the point of the view of the perspective it provides. This
does not deal with the mere issue of birth control measures order to reduce problem of

argument of the article deals with the ethical, social, economic and environmental concerns and
its correlation with the birth control measures. This article has been used to find out the
