Different companies have tried to come up with clear criteria that support and controls the Information Technology system(Laudon & Laudon, 2015 p.76).The idea is that systems management is an umbrella word that includes the entire process of monitoring and supervision of the Information Technology activities in companies. The paper focuses on the issue of systems management in Xero company. The company is in New Zealand, and it offers technological software services. It provides its services to both domestic and international markets. Xero was established in 2006, and after five years it had invested in more than 50 countries in the entire globe. Systems management in the company is made up of logs, networks, automation services, system administration units, businesssystemsandtheaspectsoftheapplications.By2018ithadacquiredother organizations such as Hubdoc and also the US payroll(Shibin et al 2016 p.34).Through mergers and acquisitions, the organization has tried to adhere to the principles of systems management. It has been in the position to control the accounting software's in various organizations at different locations. There are different element showing how the organization has been in the position to monitor the issue of systems management. The entire point is that Xero is now using standard accounting software which is commonly known as the single unified ledge. The software is very efficient since it has a popular book, thus helping organizations to their accounting details efficiently. The accounting software has some critical feature that shows how the company applies the policies of the systems management. These key element makes Xero services to be unique from the other services provided by the software companies. Some of these traits include the invoicing features, MMM132
the automatic back receipts, the fixed asset depreciation software's and the purchase order software. Ontheotherhand,theorganizationhasarobustsystemsmanagementteam.Inevery organizationsystems management, workforce works hard to ensure there is the efficient provision of the ITaas (that is IT as a service)(Shibin et al 2016 p.94).In Xero, the CIO is always monitoring every technological process that is being carried out in the organization. Moreover, the CIO implements all IT related concepts and also oversees IT professionals. The management information systems department is also keen to apply the skills and principles of systems management. According to the financial reports outlined by the organization, the IT service management is compact. The system contains supporting units which make the company surpass its competitors in the market. The idea is that the IT service management in the organization is supported by governance risk compliance unit, the financial management staff, supply chain management and the service delivery support(Juan-GarcÃa et al 2017 p.67). To sum up, systems management is the fundamental unit supporting all technological activities in the organization. Also, systems management work on helping companies to meet the IT principles and policies. Xero company has indicated how systems management departments work with the CIO to monitor all accounting activities.
