Article: The Progression and Future of Nursing in Singapore: A
Descriptive Qualitative Study
Question 1: Research question
The major research question of the selected paper is given below which
is addressed by the authors while conducting the research:
 What is the progress and future of nursing in Singapore?
There are following sub-questions included by the authors that followed
the above research concern:
 Why nursing profession is important in Singapore?
 How nurses will improve the health of the patients in future?
 What are the perceptions behind the progression of the nursing
profession in Singapore?
It is argued that nursing professionalism has a long history in Singapore
and it is very significant to provide proper training and educations to the
nurses in order to reduce health-related issues (Shorey, et al., 2019). This
proposed research reviewed and evaluated the nursing profession in
Singapore and also highlighted the importance of the nursing profession in
the reduction of health issues faced by the patients in Singapore. The
developed research questions were solved by the authors by conducting a
systematic literature review that has the potential to maintain the flow of
information in the entire study. According to the researchers, nurses in
Singapore were produced by the low recording degree of new local nurses

research topic. In terms of canon and context the proposed literature is
more effective and included reliable content which helped the authors for
solving research questions and analyzing the future of nursing in Singapore.
Therefore, it is stated that the developed literature provided in-depth
analysis about research concerns and also included the effective facts which
improved the importance of the research and resolved research questions
designed by the researchers (Cañadas, et al., 2015).
Question 3: attributes
The major attribute of this article is that the authors provided reliable
facts and information about the future of nursing in Singapore and also
supported the arguments with the previous study which is suitable for the
publication. In this paper, the authors clearly stated research questions,
methodologies, results and discussion which may help the readers for
understanding and analyzing the future and progression of the nursing
profession in Singapore. The authors also included the viewpoints of
participants by conducting a survey and interview which is another
attribute that shows that this proposed research is suitable for the
publication.
In terms of quality, this journal paper is more effective and
appropriate which achieved aims and goals of the research and also

reviewed the viewpoints of other investigators (Borhani, Abbaszadeh,
Nakhaee, & Roshanzadeh, 2014). Therefore, it is stated that the developed
research provided in-depth analysis and included the appropriate research
methods that helped for improving quality of the investigation due to these
points this article is suitable for publication in the selected journal that also
met overall criteria (Green, & Jackson, 2014).
