1LEADERSHIP
The better outcome of health care depends on the economic, social and political
factor of the organization. However, these factor does not aggregate the workforce towards
propose agenda and goal of the health care. Leadership is the prime body to make this
happen. It is known from the study that leadership greatly influence the workforce to
achieve determined goal. They focus in creating team and healthy working culture for
increasing the performance level of every person involved. Evidence is seen that in United
States and Europe, 1300 hospital was well accomplished with quality leader and give
standard care to the patient (Health workforce Australia, 2012). It is said from the study of
UK health survey of workforce, good leadership quality of higher authority gives high
performance of organization with better health result and low complaint from the patient.
The major challenge of health care system is presence of untrained clinician in field
of management and leadership. In today’s time, clinician are majorly involved in formal
management which has led to occurrence of low budget and scare resources. It is of prime
importance to include the clinician in decision making to influence the innovation and
change in healthcare system. The reason for involving the clinician in leadership role relies
on the fact that they are the one who can reduce the health cost by 80% (Health workforce
Australia, 2012). Therefore, for clinician to acquire leadership it is important to provide
them training so that they can influence the people to achieve the target goal of the system.
They also need to know the importance of good working culture that will give and support
better health outcome.
It is understood that the problem which occurs in the health care system is because
of ineffective leadership and management team (Health workforce Australia, 2012). In
health care system the retention rate of nurse has seen to be reduced in addition with their
