INTRODUCTION
Aspiring future is very necessary for the reason that when person is not having any
direction for the future then they will not be able to manage the work in better manner. Thus,
when the person will be having good future direction then their career will be bright and
developing. This better future direction helps the person in effective growth and development
and this makes the person work in direction of managing the work in better manner and to
improve the efficiency of the person in better and effective manner. The current report will
outline the different types of the career option available and the analysis of the different
experience. Along with this critical analysis of the skill and requirement for the job will be
analysed and the reflection as well.
MAIN BODY
Narrative CV
I am Cabiro Camara based from Portugal and was born in Guinea Bissau in Africa and
been living in London since 2012. I am also married and having four children and having a very
good life being present in London and I am enjoying my life with the family. Further I went to
school in Guinea Bissau and then started to work in construction industry and have been working
as a chef. Now I am planning to go for university and have undergraduate degree as well. This is
because of the reason that when I will be graduate then will be having more opportunity to grow
and develop my career and will get much better job. Also I have the strength of working hard as
because of this I am able to manage all my work on time and to improve it in proper and
effective manner. This is because of the reason that when the working of every task is necessary
and need to be done in proper and effective manner. When all the working is being done in
proper manner then this will be improving the efficiency in better and effective manner. Along
with this my hard- work and dedication can be witnessed with the fact that I am studying and
with that working as well and taking care of my family as well. This is pertaining to the fact that
when I am able to manage all these work in better manner then this will be providing me an
opportunity to grow and develop in better manner.
Potential Career Options
Referring to the CV of Cabiro Camara, it can be observed that he is pursuing a degree in
the International Business BA Hons and worked as a Manager at a building site for 11 years and

as a part time cleaner of a car park and now he is working as a Chef. As a manager at the
building site, he used to he used to manage a large team of builders, managed the project
documentation, allocated duties accordingly and ensured timely completion of the project (Li
and et.al., 2021). As a chef, ensure hygiene in preparation of food of equipment and area,
organisation of the storeroom, plating of starters and mains to perfection, communication with
the managers and the head chefs for preparation of kitchen for the evening in advance.
Based on the degree of International Business BA hons., potential career option for Cabiro
Camara can be to be a Business Development Manager (Shi and Liu, 2021). A business
development manager is the one responsible to bring in more business internationally. Such a
type of manager shall have to know the markets of his field or industry really well and shall also
have important connections with others to arrange for more business opportunities. Being
managing the building site and now the restaurant operations as a chef, Cabiro Camara will be
able to better communicate and connect with new people and bring in the business
internationally.
Based on the work experience he has from working as a Chef in Loch Fyne Restaurant, he
is able to manage the operations of the kitchen and storeroom and also able to communicate with
the managers and head chefs and thus, he basically knows how to manage a restaurant and
handle all the personnel. He also mentioned in his personal statement that he is planning to start
his own business. Therefore, he can start his own restaurant and thus will be able to apply his
knowledge and experience he obtained from working as a chef in his own restaurant and also
will be able to fulfil his dream of doing his own business.
Based on the work experience he has from working as a manager at a building site, he is
able to manage the personnel working under him efficiently and get the job done in timely
manner. Gaining the knowledge and experience from such a job of 11 years he can apply to a
good restaurant or hotel chain brand for the post of human resource manager or a general
manager as he will be able to manage the operations and the personnel effectively and make
them do their job on time and systematically.

Organisational skills Organisational skills means organising the operations and
management of such operations effectively and efficiently with the most important motive of
customer satisfaction (Kotagal and Pellegrini, 2018). Such an organisation of operations will
include efficient completion of the tasks in hand, skilled solving of the problems in hand and
learning from the mistakes and be future oriented.
Communication skills – Communication skills means effective communication between the
personnel of the organisation so as to have a common goal and objective. The personnel shall
be able to communicate the thoughts and ideas with the superiors and be able to get the
response effectively. Such skills also include avoidance of any misinterpretation or
misleading the others.
Inter personal skills – Inter personal skills as the name suggests are the skills i.e., behaviour
and tactics required to interact with others efficiently and effectively. It is the ability of the
employee to work in harmony with others in the organisation.
Technical skills – Knowledge of the industry and the work that a person is supposed to do
comes under the technical skills. Such skills come from the education and knowledge gained
while working in the industry and studying for the industry (Zamanifard and et.al., 2019).
Such technical skills may involve operating technology or equipment specific to the work to
be done and not known to people in general.
Analytical skills – Analytical skills simply means to be able to analyse the situation in hand
and act accordingly in the best interest of the organisational goals and objectives. Such skills
will require the person to be very attentive and have presence of mind in the present
situation.
Negotiation skills – The owner of the restaurant or a general manager will be obviously
representing his business or the organisation in which he is working and thus shall be able to
negotiate effectively with the others in the best interest of the organisation to grab the best
deals.
Leadership skills – Leadership skills are the most important skills required here as the
person will be required to handle the work force of his own or the work force in the
organisation in which he is working and thus shall be able to influence such workforce
positively and guide them towards the common goals and objectives (Santo and et.al., 2019).

Critical analysis of skills and experience
With the evaluation of the different career options being present for me there is
requirement of the different types of the skills and experience. With the personal analysis I was
knowing that there are certain skills which are necessary for working within the corporate
culture. This is necessary for the reason that when the required skills will not be present then it
will be affecting the working to a great extent. with the personal analysis it was analysed that I
am having good time management skills (Carter, Bababekov and Majmudar, 2018). This is
pertaining to the fact that I am able to manage my studies and job along with the family in better
and effective manner. Hence, this will be assistive in managing the working efficiency and
attaining the objectives on time.
Along with the analysis I also evaluated that interpersonal skills are good. This can be
stated that I am able to manage good relation with others and this will be assistive in improving
the efficiency of the working capability. Along with the analysis I evaluated that communication
skills are little weak in me and this need to be improved for better working in the professional
world (Cox and et.al., 2019). this is necessary for the reason that in case communication will not
be good then this will be affecting the working of me to a great extent. further with the
discussion it is clear that analytical and negotiation skill are also weak. This also need to be
improved so that the working can be improved and can gain a better working position within the
market and professional working culture.
Along with this there is also an opportunity being present within the external
environment is to develop technical skill. This is very necessary because in case the technical
aspect will not be managed in proper and effective manner then this will be affecting my career
in the hospitality sector (Smith, 2022). Along with this, the high competition is the major threat
which can affect the working within the highly competitive market. This can affect the working
in better and effective manner and can affect the growth of me to a great extent.
Simulation reflection
With the help of the analysis of the market position present and the skills required I
analysed that there are many different things required for the effective working in academic and
corporate culture as well. this is pertaining to the fact that when I will not be having good
educational background and degrees then this will be affecting the working efficiency to a great
extent. with the help of the above analysis I learnt that in case I will be having a graduate degree

then this will be increasing my efficiency and will be providing me with better job opportunity
which were not earlier present for me (Whitney, Rowley and Bennett, 2021). Thus, ultimately
this will be increasing the working capability and will improve the efficiency of working in
external environment. Along with this study I also analysed that working in external environment
is very essential. This is because of the reason that in case the external working environment will
not be managed and maintained then this will be affecting my career to a great extent. hence, this
helped me to analyse the fact that external analysis is very important as it will increase the
efficiency and will provide full knowledge relating to the current trends going on in the market
and to comply with it in the operations. Hence, with this whole project I analysed that the under
graduation course will definitely help me in improving my working capability. With this I will be
in position to get better position in the corporate culture.
CONCLUSION
In the end, it is concluded that having a clear future direction and aspiration is very
important for the person. This is because of the reason that when the person is not having any
good future direction then they will not be able to manage the work and grow in better manner.
Also the education and experience of the person is necessary in order to improve the skills and
gain better opportunity within the market so that career can be developed in better and effective
manner. The above report stated that analysing the external opportunities is very necessary for
the person to grow and develop their career. Also it was analysed that there are some skills which
are less and it involves communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
