Introduction
A successful professional, in every spheres of his/her life of employment, is always
suggested to write down a journal along with a work development and task priority plan where
he/she would be identifying, realizing, segregating, strategizing and making plans to implement
his/ her work according to its importance. Such prioritization would not only help the
professional to save time and resources, but also enhance his/ her capabilities in not harder but a
smarter way. The respective paper is a plan on development and maintenance of my professional
competence where I would be reviewing my job description, develop certain personal and team
goals, develop a work plan, develop a personal journal where I would be evaluating my
performance based on KPI (key performance indicator) and the processes by which I can
minimize as well as capitalize my weaknesses and strengths to be successful in my career.

The job where I am enrolled in is that of a sales associate in the field of consumer
electronics in the company known as Cheil Australia. The company Cheil Australia is an
enterprise that aims to deliver the best integrated business solutions and presently operates
worldwide successfully in 43 countries. The company has also received a prestigious rank of 15th
position in the global business platform with around 6,200 employees working in the company.
The Cheil Australia company is famous for its innovative ideas, approaches and perspectives
towards the products and services they offer to the consumers. The company seeks to provide the

best available solutions for technological issues in the market with an aim to make the lives of
the people in the society smarter, easier and happier than before. The company, with best
innovative team, seeks to be the best company in terms of technical solutions throughout the
world. The company is not only a leading brand with exceptional retail ideas, but also an
enterprise that other enterprises seek to for inspiration, encouragement and ideas.
My job description
As a sales associate of the consumer electronics section of the respective company, my
job role is challenging, adventurous, intriguing, multidimensional and multifaceted in nature. As
a sales associate, I have been bestowed with the task of creating and delivering a positive brand
image and experience of the consumer goods in front of the consumers in order to compel them
to think about buying the respective products. The company would be expecting me to be an
expert in constructing brand image, providing brand advocacy and excitement among the
consumers through building relationships, training and formulating an outstanding shopper
experience via exceptional product demonstration and customer engagement. The company also
expects me to bring out new, creative and innovative ideas about the promotions of the products
in different ways by which consumers might be intrigued and arrested. I would be requiring to
provide my best possible service to the company with an indomitable spirit and challenging
outlook so that I am able to achieve the goals which I and the company has set for me and help
the company in achieving its business objectives.

Keeping in mind the objectives, policies and goals of the company and my job
description which dictates me what is expected from me by the company, I have hereby noted
down four personal and team goals. Personal goals have been meant for the changes and
enhancements I have to carry out in my personal attribute and team goals have been meant for
the objectives of the sales team which I would be leading as a sales associate (of consumer
electronic goods) on behalf of the company hereafter.
Personal goals
Personal goals can be defined as the process by which individuals target to achieve certain
objectives in life, which might be either professional or personal, for certain individualistic and/
or holistic improvements. Personal development is the activities that improve the cognitive and
emotional awareness and identity, ignites and develops talent and potential, build human capital,
enhance and facilitate employability, enhance the quality of life and contribute in identification,
realization and action towards the fulfillment of dreams and actions. The personal goals that I
have enlisted for the development of my professional skills have been provided hereafter.
1. Productivity: Productivity can be termed as the mechanism by which the amount of
productive work can be accomplished by an individual in a given span of time.
Productivity in an individual is typically or quintessentially measured by the amount and
magnitude of productive work an individual can perform in a given span of time, which
also brings out certain intrinsic traits of individual such as the ability of time
management, resource management and smart way of carrying out work. Therefore, I
