INTRODUCTION
The discussion in the report is over Personal and Professional development plan. The
discussion is a reflective report in which writer has attempted analyze different aspects of
Personal and professional development, starting from understanding meaning of Personal and
Professional development to discussing different goals of life, in a time bound manner, and also
at the end deriving those vales which writer has availed while carrying out this planning. Also, in
the report discussion is made regarding understanding principles of choosing any source of
development.
Task One
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal and Professional development is that concept through which an Individual tries
to cultivate those skills and qualities in oneself, that are necessary for that individual in bringing
up oneself in the best manner to lead a good life and make oneself established in the career of
choice as well. The concept comprises of two areas, one is personal development in which
individual is aspiring to become a good human being. And, the other is professional development
in which the individual is seen building qualities important for development in career. In both the
concepts, necessary skills and capabilities are built by individual in a well planned manner
(Bennett-Levy and Finlay-Jones, 2018).
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals identifying at least 3 personal
examples
Short term goals are those goals that I have decided to inculcate in myself within next
year. I will not be taking too long to develop these goals in myself, because they are the one that
are considered by me as really basic and really important. According to me, these are those
qualities, which will be creating base for any next development in me. In this manner I have
discussed three such important short term goals.
