they are the main asset for business organization. Overall success of company is highly depend
over its employees so that it is significant for leader to boost their morale and also encourage
them towards the company goals and objectives. With the assistance of this, employees can
easily perform their job responsibility in the pandemic situation. Moreover, building a stronger
communicate system is also help in keeping workers connected from each other. Leader also
encourage their team members to share their views and issues that they faced at the time of

for longer period of time. During the situation of COVID-19, employees think about the safety
and from this they impact negatively on the business. Regarding this, Hilton hotel provides all
the measures of safety to its staff members so that they can not face any safety issues at
workplace. In order to motivating the employees, HR manager should review the strategies in an
effective manner and also provide them the masks and sanitizers. The main focus of Hilton Hotel
to keep the social distancing among employees so that they can not make the physical contact
with each other and work safely (Graves and Sarkis, 2018). In Hilton hotel, housekeeping
departments are executing the additional measures like the touch points and public areas

and Amponsah-Tawiah, 2016).
Data analysis: It could be defined as the process of modelling, cleaning and transforming
the information for finding answers for research questions. With the help of this process
conclusions for the research could be drawn. The data analysis technique which will be used for
analysing the gathered information for this research will be thematic analysis. It is a method
which is used for the purpose of assessing the qualitative information. It is mainly applied to the
set of texts like interviews or questionnaires. While using it researcher examines the information
to analyse the common themes such as patterns, ideas and topics. Different types of charts and
graphs are also formulated when this analysis is used to analyse data (Mahmood, Uddin and
Fan, 2019).
Research Philosophy: It is a way through which various research strategies are made and
thereafter utilised in order to pursuit the goals and objectives. Thus, with the help of this,
researcher tends to find out the solutions to a problem. Mainly a research philosophy are of two
kinds one is positivism: in which the research always sticks to the information that are factual
and most probably obtained through observation (Miao and et. al., 2018). Whereas the other one
i.e. interpretivism: it is based on philosophical idealism and uses the naturalistic approach for

Theme 2: Need of employee motivation within Hilton Hotel during the out break of COVID 19.
From the above used articles, books and many other sources, it has been evaluated that
each and every organisation require to motivate their employees at workplace. In context of
Hilton Hotel, employee motivation is highly needed because it will helps them in reduction of
high employee turnover and also in improvement of brand image of company. Motivated
employees helps Hilton Hotel during COVID 19 by providing online services. This turn to assist
company by improving its brand image in marketplace as well as in customer's mind. With the
use of secondary sources, researcher can easily attained this objective that results in completion
of full project systematically.
Theme 3: Impact of motivation over the developing performance of employees.
It has been analysed from the secondary sources used for literature review is motivation
directly and positively impact over the employees performance. There are different types of
motivation such as extrinsic, intrinsic, interjected and identified. All these are main types of
motivation that helps employees by increasing their motivation level. Therefore, motivation is
essential for developing employee's performance. Motivation will also support employees by
improving its growth and success at workplace.
Theme 4: Ways that are effectively be implement by the leaders to develop the performance of
employees within Hilton Hotel.
From the above stated data, it has been evaluated that, development of employees
performance at workplace is significant and important for the success of Hilton Hotel. There are
different ways that will be effective for leader to develop performance of their employees. These
are communicate clear expectations, make sure performance appraisal are consistent, make
employee development a priority, take steps toward improving morals (work environment,
benefits, salary level etc.), empower employees to do their job well, utilise the right technologies
and many others. All these are effective and useful ways for leader of Hilton Hotel to develop
higher performance level of their employees. This will helps hotel in improvement of its success
and performance at marketplace. Through books, journals, magazines etc., researcher
accomplished research objectives easily and successfully.
Recommendation and Conclusion
Conclusion: From the above mentioned information, it has been concluded that employee
motivation in the workplace helps both employees as well as organisation by improving their

performance level. It has been concluded that concept of employee motivation is a broad concept
because it assist an organisation in reduction of high employee turnover easily. Therefore, all
organisations are needed of employee motivation in the workplace. Motivated employees within
a working environment supports company by improving its performance level, decreasing high
employee turnover, enhancing employees performance, attracting large number of customers etc.
These are consider biggest advantages of employees motivation in the workplace. Motivation in
the workplace helped in development of employees performance that results in higher
productivity. Along with this, business leader played different and important roles for motivating
their employees. These roles are empowerment of employee to do their job well, improvement of
employee moral, providence of financial and non- financial benefits etc. These are more
effective and essential ways for increasing motivation level among employees. This turn to helps
company by reducing the high employee turnover and also improving brand reputation. Apart
from this, different number of secondary sources used for attaining research aim and objectives
systematically. These sources are books, articles, magazines, publication research etc. All these
are consider more effective and useful sources for collection of secondary data for literature
review that results in accomplishment of research objectives and completion of full project
successfully.
Recommendations: From the above mentioned information, it has been recommended
that employee motivation is important and significant for company in improvement of its
business growth and success. There are some recommendations for improving employees
motivation which are explained as below: Create a positive work environment: Hilton Hotel must create a positive work
environment for their employees because it will helps them in improvement of
employee's motivation and performance that results in less employee turnover. This will
be essential for company in improvement of its growth and success. Implementation of motivational theories: This is also consider another and significant
way for Hilton Hotel in improvement of employee's motivation. There are different
motivational theories that must be used by hotel. These are Maslow hierarchy of needs
theory, Adams' equity theory etc. These are essential and useful theories for hotel to use
and motivated their employees. Along with this, motivated employees support hotel by
improving its business performance.

 Communicate effectively: Communication is an essential and important way for hotel to
communicate entire information about the business policies, practices etc. to the
employees. This will assist company its business development. Effective communication
among employees will also essential in reduction of conflict and misunderstanding. It
turn to helps company by increasing motivation of employees.
 Provide responsibilities: This is important and essential for Hilton Hotel to provide
responsibilities to their employees according to their performance. This will helps them
in increment of employees motivation that output in higher growth of company.
REFLECTION
During this pandemic where everyone is facing some or the other issues while
performing their activities a little bit of problem was also faced by me. Thus, this pandemic
provides me with an insight for conducting a research in order to know how business leaders are
playing their crucial role in motivating their employees. What are the ways they are following for
increasing the productivity of the company and the individual as well. Sharing about my
experience, as I was not allowed to meet people individually for gathering information so as to
maintain social distancing so, I chose to conduct survey through internet. Therefore,
questionnaires were provided to respective sampling representatives and thereafter information
was collected. This not only help me out in gathering more and more data in limited time frame
but also helped me in connecting with large number of people and thus, collected data helped me
out in evaluating appropriate information.
In order to do this research various kinds of methods were being used for example: for
collecting data quantitative method was taken into consideration because it provides assistance in
representing the collected information in a qualified form and explaining the same became easier
for me. Doing the research related to this topic improved my knowledge and skills and provided
me with a deeper insight for what all activities are being performed by the business leaders for
managing company’s activities. Meanwhile, doing this research raised certain issues and these
were related to time and cost but with proper guidance all problem was resolved and moreover,
this taught me to have a proper planning before going for an activity.
However, as an alternative method, in order to do this research, I would have chosen
interview and the reason being, interview provides with a deeper knowledge and understanding

about the topic moreover, we can counter question the respondent about the motive of their
thought. Therefore, interview although is time consuming but it has the predisposition of
providing proper and elucidated knowledge.
