Section 1: Comparing two Research Methodologies
1.1 Research Problem
The respective research is focused on the analysis and selections of appropriate research
methods as well as instruments in order to analyze the impact of training and development on the
overall employee performance within an organization. The research will specifically focus on the
importance of training and development as well as their impact on the performance of the staff
members within the workplace (Aguasvivas and et.al., 2020). Employees who receive effective
training as well as development opportunities are able to perform in a much more productive
manner and also contribute to the company’s performance as well. there are different training
measures that can be adopted by a company in order to help its employees develop new skills as
well as enhance their existing knowledge. Although there are different studies that have been
conducted on this topic, but this research will provide a modern view of the same. The research
question for this research project is:
“What is the impact of training and development on the employee performance within an
organization?”
1.2 Selected key readings
Relevant literature key readings for this research project include reports as well as
researches on training and development, various research articles on the impact of training and
development on employee performance (Boone, 2021). Training and development are an
important component that can contribute to the overall performance of the employees as well as
the company to a great extent. An article by Jerry Shaw on the effects of training on employee
performance states that companies can gain numerous benefits by providing effective training to
the employees (EFFECTS OF TRAINING ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: A CASE STUDY
OF UNITED NATIONS SUPPORT OFFICE FOR THE AFRICAN UNION MISSION IN
SOMALIA, 2014). Besides this, it is also mentioned that training and development help the
organization in saving time as well as costs. This must reduce duplication of effort in the place of
business, the time spent correcting errors and the problem fixing essential to correct terrible
performances (Carey, 2021). Improved overall performance from employee education can lessen
group of workers turnover, decrease maintenance charges by means of reducing system
breakdowns and result in fewer customer proceedings. Better overall performance from
