Executive summary
This report reflects the essential importance of implementing change management plan in
businesses and organization. This particular is presented o the change management activities
requested for the UWA library, Australia. It has been determined that, due to lack of leadership,
support, motivation, team work and negligence of project supervisor the projects of the library
failed to meet the expected objectives. A detail change analysis, change management actions,

Introduction
Change management is defined as a very important and essential knowledge area under
project management prcatices that helps to govern any project towards the expected objectives
and goals. The case scenario selected here is UWA Library Management. It has been analyzed
that since past years the projects operating by the Western Australia Library was coming very
poor. Different reasons for these failures were identified such as poorly managed project scope,
no clear direction, poor management activities etc.
In order to overcome these challenges the management decided to implement PRINCE2
project management method across the entire library operations. After implementation of this
change the library successfully overcomes all potential issues that it was facing past years. The
requested changes, change management process, integrated change control approaches and
changes occurred in each stage of the project life cycle are elaborated in this report. The data are
collected after conducting a survey and response collected from the participants. Considerable IT
components are incorporated to the project to enhance the operational efficiency and functions.

After analyzing the operational and functional activities of UWA Library it is recognized
that, before 2005 the projects those were taken by the library was not as effective or successful as
expected. A project operated by the library those days was annual operation plan. The project
team was selected and without any specification or guidance the entire project was given to the
team for its implementation. In the year of 2002 a new project coordinator was appointed for the
