Introduction
In the aspect of asset design and
maintenance (ADM)have definition changes
Definition: is a continuous improvement
strategy process of systems, processes,
facilities, and equipment (Dwight, & Zhang,
2014).
Aim: improving the safety, reliability,
availability, and longevity of a physical asset.

Importance of ADM
Like any other constructions process, asset
design and management is essential in;
- Knowing the assets an organization owns for
proper monitoring and maintenance
- Evaluating the design criteria and the
conditions of their operation
- Developing the asset programs and
maintenance care to ensure reliable
performance of each asset
Importance: these activities help in cost
optimization in the asset operation
