work process is a guarantee of its success. The democratic leader has many responsibilities and
has to play many types of roles.
Respect the opinions of every employee
If I talk to my point of view, the most important function of a democratic leader is to encourage
the employees working under them and to make the employees feel safe. Along with this, the
main task of the democratic leader is to take decisions and help the organization in finding
employees. The leader shares his thoughts with the employees under him, so that the opinion of
the employee is respected.
Divide the task
According to my point of view, the democratic leader collects his ideas for further action and
shares it with the employees who are under him. This makes it easier to know what work the
employee will do and what his role will be because the leader has this in mind that employee is
skilled in what works or what is its strength and weakness. In addition, the leader can discuss the
work of employees by doing a group discussion.
Trusting employees and followers
As per the democratic leadership style, we have to trust our employees and followers. If a leader
trusts followers then followers also respect and admire the leadership style.
Help and guide
A good leader always helps and guides the employees to achieve their particular goal and target.
Challenges for the Democratic leadership
During democratic leadership, there are some challenges that these challenges face:
Lack of certainty
According to this democratic leadership style, this leadership can fail anytime and in any
situation during difficult times. Everyone has own different opinions for this style. In this,
employees and leaders can lose their sanity and become indiscreet. In this situation, the leader
cannot eliminate the personal worries of every employee.

DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP 6
Excess time spent
Whenever a situation of crisis arises, it cannot be eradicated with immediate effect, hence it is
said that this leadership style is time-consuming therefore, very much time is spent.
Properties of apology
We know that when a person handles democratic leadership, he hears and understands the
personal views of all the employees, but he cannot implement the personal views of all these
employees. That is why it has been said that leaders should have the quality of apologizing.
Leadership Model for self- development
Leadership is a means that attracts people behind them. The main job of leadership is to mentor
and coach people and the leader who leads must also have the qualities to guide people and
recognize their skills (Caldwell & Hayes, 2016). Apart from this, whatever results I have
achieved under my leadership, I will present them to the people as a model, analyze them myself,
and get people to analyze them as well. In addition, I will use this model to fulfill my long term
tasks and try to achieve my near future goals easily. The model I will follow is the GROW model
(Solansky, 2015).
GROW Model
This model is based on the coaching model. Through this model, we can solve any problem, set
our goals, and also improve our performance. If you want to be a successful leader everyone is
required to follow the GROW model (Ebrahimi Mehrabani & Azmi Mohamad, 2015).
Goal
I will choose an inspirational goal for this and increase my energy to achieve this goal. In
addition, I will always prepare myself to achieve this goal. As such all, the leaders have a goal to
be an effective leader and learning all the qualities of leadership, it has the mission to achieve
long term goals.
Reality
This is the second step of the GROW model and this is a step in which, I will evaluate my
present situation and realize the problems which I can face in the future and also I will analyze
the strengths and weaknesses (Cong Cheng, et al., 2019).

This is third step of GROW model and it clearly describe the way to find the solution of a
problem in the organization. If I will face any problem in the operations of organization then I
will analyze the issues and make the list of solutions.
Will
It is known as the main alternative to the Grow model. In this, the decisions are clarified and
action is taken on them. Under this, all the obstacles coming in it are analyzed and I will make a
strategy to avoid them.
Importance of self- development to build self- awareness as a leader
Self-development is as important for every person as breathing to live. Without self-
development, we cannot even imagine the existence of a person. Self-confidence considered as
the first step to becoming an effective leader that means confidence is a very important factor for
anyone who wants to become a leader (D'Souza & Gurin, 2016). If we talk about self-confidence
then it is a continuous or lifelong process whereby we set our goals and crave to achieve those
goals. If we want to analyze the potential of our life then the most necessary is self-confidence.
Along with confidence, skill is also very important, if I have the skill of any work, then it will
increase my confidence and with this confidence, I can improve my standard of living. If I want
to be an effective leader in future, then it is necessary for me to increase my self-confidence and
develop my own personality.
Apart from all this, it can also said that if I keep analyzing my abilities and my skills from time
to time, then by this, I can increase my inner strength and with this strength, I can achieve my
later goals. Some analysts believe that self-development is the first step in achieving personal
leadership goals and enhancing one's own capabilities (Shek, et al., 2015). If I develop my skills
then it will help in increasing my self-confidence as well as self-motivation so that I can improve
my self-image. I will first realize my requirements to achieve all this and then self-realization
from them. Maslow also describes these self-realizations but he has divided them all into a
hierarchy, according to which the five basics requirements of this model are psychological needs,
safety needs, belonging needs, esteem needs and self-actualization needs.

Leadership Development plan
If a person follows personal leadership, then that person can make his plan successful and move
in the direction in which he wants to succeed. A person who follows personal leadership can
overcome any problem or can make an effective plan to avoid those troubles (Rubens, et al.,
2018). If I talk to me, I will prepare and follow a personal leadership plan for me. In the future, I
will be able to make myself self-aware and improve myself by improving my work skills. If ever
my plan goes wrong then this leadership allows me to personal development and I will return my
plan to the same or can also bring it on track.
In the future, if I move on the path of becoming my leader, then I will bring change in me first.
First of all, I will set some goals to make myself a good leader and I will achieve those goals. If
there is any kind of hindrance in my path, then by removing those blockages and identifying the
opportunities, I should set my goal and will keep at the first place. In addition, by motivating
myself, I will increase my confidence. In addition, I will remove those shortcomings, which can
be a hindrance in my success. In addition, I will talk to other people about my attitude; I will
know their reaction and will change it if needed (Humphrey, R. H.; Kellett, J. B.; Sleeth, R.G.;
Miao, C.; Qian, S.;, 2019).
In addition, I will make the personal leadership development plan for a long time for dealing
with the aptitudes that I need to work on. The accompanying table demonstrates the individual
administration plan for a long time to improve the aptitudes through dissecting my present
circumstance and target capacity that I could improve and furthermore the time span inside
which I will improve my specific ability and at the last there is an assessment criterion which
will help me look at my achievement of enhancements.

and compassion among the team (Steffens, et al., 2018).
Receptive
I am open-mined character as I keep myself open for new thoughts and I generally take bits of
knowledge from around. This likewise implies I am prepared to hear awkward things from my
subordinates and I acknowledge each snippet of data (Carter & Greer, 2013).
Valiant
I am a valiant individual and expertise to act when I am getting achievement and have boldness
when I am experiencing disappointments. I am worthy to take the analysis and comprehend that
disappointment is a piece of achievement (Mathis, 2019).
Trained and Accountable
I pursue discipline at the work environment, as it is basic for structure and request. I have vital
reasoning and I take activities on consistent schedule. Responsibility demonstrates the devotion
of an individual. I assume the liability of the duties that I make. I acknowledge the missteps and I
consider myself responsible for each guarantee that I make to my subordinates (Norzailan, et al.,
2016).
Importance of Feedback
In each phase of management, the objective can be achieved only through the measurement and
improvisation. To achieve objectives of the company it is basic requirement of the leader to
achieve trust of the employees and gather feedback and review from them in context of their
roles, duties, work environment and policies of the organization. The feedback of the employees
can be achieved through timely meetings and discussions in the organization. I personally feel
that a leader should provide platform to the employees to interact and share the views as it could
help in collaborative way of working and growing towards the achievement of goals and
objectives of the company as an individual and as a whole.
To grow together is the aim of the good leader as the leader itself defined as the person who
empathizes with its employee values and issues while working in the organization. The
leadership success depends on the satisfaction of an employee. The job satisfaction of the
employees can be achieved through learning, interacting, training and guiding of the employees
in the competitive environment. The best method to achieve employee satisfaction is to gain trust
and compassion among the team (Steffens, et al., 2018).
