According to me, persuasive presentation is defined as the way of convincing the
audiences to accept the point of view of the speaker. The speech is explained in such a manner
that it helps audiences to accept the expressed view of speaker.
On the other hand, informative presentation uses different descriptions along with vivid
details that help in explaining the subject to the audiences in an effective manner. The
informative speech helps in making the complex topic easier in order to make the audiences
understand about the concept.
I feel that persuasive kind of presentation or speech is more convincing in nature than the
informative speech. I feel that the informative speech will help me in making the audiences
understand about different concepts in an effective manner. I feel that the persuasive presentation
has the ability to convince the audiences and this involves the informative presentation or
speech.

The principle of consensus does not work in all the situations and this is influenced by the
decisions of the others. I think that the main concept of consensus is to influence others in such a
manner that it influences the behavior of the consumers in the market. I have seen in many
situations that it is the influences the behavior of the individuals.

Yes, the people are often persuaded to buy the different things, as they tend to follow the
buying pattern of other consumers. I feel this kind of consensus is not right all the times and this
can create trouble for the individuals, as the preferences may be different in different situations.
Personally, I am not influenced or susceptible by the opinions of the others as I feel the
tastes of different individuals differ from one another and this can have negative influence on the
decision making power.

I feel deterrence is more difficult than discontinuance as deterrence means discouraging
the individuals by installing fear of doubt or other negative consequences to it. Furthermore, I
have seen that discontinuance means it stops the entire performance of the individuals.
For example- In my life, I have faced the deterrence situation in my professional life
wherein a colleague of mine discouraged me in performing a certain task and he made me feel
feared about the consequences that can take place. This was one such consequence and it had
made me feel bad about it.

According to me, persuasion is unethical as this can have negative effect on the needs of
the individuals. I feel this kind of unethical persuasion can be seen n push selling in different
shops wherein the shopkeeper wants to sell the products to the customers as he feels he will be
gaining profit from it. However, this can affect the motive of the customers, as there can be
different perception of the customers that can differ from the perceptions of the shopkeepers in

the market. Therefore, I feel persuasion is unethical in nature as this is on the motive of one
single side of the individuals and there is no connection between the customers and shopkeepers.

From the video, I have understood that elevator speech helps in understanding the ideas
of the seller in the market in a clear and brief manner. The particular video helps me in
understanding that elevator speech helps in convincing the customers in the market to buy the
particular product or services in an effective manner. When I see from the viewpoint of the
shopkeepers, it is clear in nature that this will help them in providing the customers a brief about
the different products and services sold by them.

verbal communication is effective form of communication that helps the individuals in making

However, I feel in non-verbal communication, there can be issues and negative points involved
that can affect the buying behavior of the consumers in the entire competitive market.

When the people are confused about what to do in crisis, the individuals tend to lose the
power of functioning in an effective manner. This involves lack of confidence and self-efficacy
among the individuals that includes when there is plane crash or other situations in the business.
I have seen different kind of crises in my life wherein I have seen the people panic regarding
different situations and this can make the situation even worse in nature.
I feel these kinds of crises can be solved and managed by the individuals in an effective
manner. The challenges that can occur during the crisis can be handled by the individuals in such
a manner that this will reduce the chances of the crisis in different kind of tasks that is performed
by them.
A proper assessing of the respective situation can help the individuals in understanding
the extent of the crisis that can take place (Siponen, Mahmood & Pahnila, 2014)
Brief overview of the crisis has to be analyzed in such a manner that this will help in
providing employees in the organization to take steps that will help in solving the crisis
(Bates, Darvell & Watson, 2017)

help in reducing the challenges and this will make the tasks more effective in nature as

Non-verbal communication is generally crucial element in business communication. It is
the most complex, challenging and dynamic aspect of communication. We need to continually
know and learn the non-verbal communication to become successful. . Non-verbal
communication is an uneasy and complex subject with various underlying assumptions (Yoon et
al. 2016).This form of communication is analogical in nature as the main aim of this form of
communication is to express our feeling through expressions and gestures.
For an instance, if any person wants to get to other place and end the conversation, he
would unconsciously point his foot in the direction that he wants to go. I think our body always
communicate the truth, it is us who have to know how by reading the truth. When we
communicate something to others, we are not convinced of then our body start reacting by
creating incongruence in the non-verbal communication. Whether we stay quiet, talk or self
closed, knowingly or unknowingly we are communicating something to the individuals around
us.

Self – disclosure is the sharing of individual personal life details intensely with others. In
the business context, it is usually viewed as a big no but if the self disclosure approach used
wisely can further strengthen the leader’s position in the business especially in team- building. I
think self-disclosure is really beneficial for the organization as it helps in creating

encouragement, mutual trust and respect within the employees. Self- disclosure moreover
strengthens the manager’s or leaders position (Bazarova & Choi, 2014). I think it makes the
leader or manger of the organization more approachable to their employees. It helps in making
the a better working condition as the employee feels encouraged and free to think as well as
admit their mistakes.
Furthermore, self- disclosure helps in developing a deep bond in the organization through
loyalty, trust and friendship. By sharing our stories of persistence and courage with the
employees in the work place helps in motivating and improving the working condition of the
employees. By acknowledging others input in the organization and listening carefully to the
colleagues generates collaboration as the team members starts expressing their concerns more
openly. I think using self-disclosure wisely in the organization does not weaken the business
leader but empowers them.

In any circumstances, which involves various individuals can lead to conflict. In the
business world, conflicts are rising due to the philosophical differences and the employee’s
divergent goals for achieving the powerful positions. Poorly managed or unmanaged conflicts
generally lead to increase in low productivity rate and trust issues within the organization (Currie
et al., 2017). With the basic knowledge of the conflict strategies in the management, I think
collaborating is the best. Collaborating would lead to finding a creative idea or solution for that
should be acceptable to every individual involved in the conflict. As a business owner of my
firm, I would work coordinately or collaboratively with my organizational manager to establish
laws and policies for the organizational improvement (Liu et al. 2017).

would improve the chances for my organizational success. This strategy would make me to find
a relevant solution by keeping the goals of my business in mind as well as satisfying the parties
involved in conflict. This approach helps in hearing the problem from both sides and then would
arrive to a conclusion by getting to the root of the arising conflict. This strategy help in managing
the employees disputes in the organization and further increasing the employee’s efficiency.

The theory X, Y or Z are the various theories of management and human motivation.
The organizational managers or leaders in the development of human resources, organizational
behavior and communication (Meyers & van Woerkom, 2014) use the different theories of
workforce motivation. Theory X generally focuses on the importance of supervision, penalties
and rewards for the workers in the organization, whereas theory Y lays more stress on
encouraging the employees to complete the task without any direct supervision or control of the
managers (Lewis, 2014).
As a manager, I would definitely rely on Theory Y for my management style. I would
consider my employees as the most valuable asset in my organization, believe in my employees,
and know that they are internally motivated. The workers in my organization would not require
continuous supervision for generating standardized and high quality products. This would help
them in making them to develop a better working condition in the organization. I would allow
the employees to design and constructs freely to maximize their efficiency as well as
productivity of my organization. I would work in a most democratic form, as it would allow my
