SummeryThe comparison of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) process withthe Agile Methodologies in the basic objective of this approach. PMBoK is a newmethodology by Project Management Institute (PMI) which consist on file group ofprocesses and total of nine knowledge areas in the institute. On the other hand, AgileMethodology is consisted on the Agile project management principles for projectmanagement group. As in this research report we examine that Agile is not fully completewith traditional methodologies, it required fully new functional requirements for the changein the project management group. Inside agile there are number of multiple processes thatare considered as the not complete from project management point of view. Theseprocesses are described and explained explicitly related to project management group andproject management system. At last of both of the methodologies are listed and use ascollectively for any specific project then could be very beneficial for the projectmanagement perspectives. IntroductionUsing traditional methodologies for the software development are rare to estimateand manage the large number of projects, which get more efforts for largely deliverprojects. These efforts travel across the nature of the project and identified for overcomebut still some of these efforts remain in project management and development (Brooks Jr,1995). As result of these software that are failed due to this work are still growing and itsmost mutable thing in the IT field. As in (Charette, 2005) author stated that ““most ITexperts agree that such failures occur far more often than they should” and that “thefailures are universally unprejudiced”.As a result, agile software development comes in practice and overcome these challenges bywell managed approach of agile methods. At first agile pick dropped project and thenacknowledge the user generated requirements and then respond to the user needsaccording to the descriptions. Extreme Programming (XP), Features Driven Development(FDD), Scrum, Crystal Clear Methodology and Adoptive Software Development (ASD) aresome of Agile methodologies that applied on latest software development perspectives(Beck & Gamma, 2000; Carmichael & Haywood, 2002; Coad, Lefebvre, & Luca). To represent this approach and overcome the challenges faced by the traditional softwaredevelopment approached are Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBoK) is one ofthe technique that can do so (Rose, 2013). PMBoK divide whole project progress in total of44 process which run throughout the project life cycle with the project management teamand project management processes. 44 project process are divided into: five process groupsand totally of nine knowledge areas where we can put these into account. The basicstructure of PMBoK is described in the below (Anbari, 2003):Inputs (plans, documents, design etc.)1

Techniques and tools (inputs to output mechanism steps)Guidance (for learning and apply processes)Process groups for PMBoK is listed belowInitiating: Processes, activities and skill inside a process needed to be definedinside the project at the beginning of the project.Planning: There are basically four processes that needed to be set in planningphase which areProject ScopeStrategy for project for workflow maximizationPriority list estimationNeeds for teamExecuting: management of project team while timeline and expected goals inmindMonitoring and Controlling: budget of project, unforeseen circumstances, teamability and budget consideration are responsibilities.Closing: Bring the process on a stage where this project will be successfullyclosed and managed. AnalysisRelevancy and other project management methodologies that are applied on theAgile project management and PMBoK project management can be categories on the basicof the following some basic project management processes or steps that are involved andintegrated in both methodologies. Following are some comparison analysis of PMBoK andagile project management methodologies which are (Fitsilis, 2008):1.Project Integration Management 2.Project Scope Management3.Project Time Management4.Project Cost Management5.Project Quality Management6.Project Human Resource management7.Project Communication Management8.Project Risk Management9.Project Procurement ManagementInside every individual comparison we will compare PMBoK with the two correspondingmethodologies of the Agile project development methodology (those include XP andScrum).1.
