AI Summary
Individuals who engage in domestic violence often possess a unique set of ethical values, moral understanding, and capabilities that differ from those of normal people. They tend to prioritize situations that encourage strength and result in physical and mental torture and violence (Pallitto et al., 2013). Furthermore, their cultural responsiveness can force them to avoid compensation in their lifestyle. However, there is no belief or value for domestic violence in any culture or religion that can encourage a person to take such negative steps. Despite this, the reference and consideration of culture, belief, and values are often used as an excuse by victims or perpetrators. The needs of vulnerable people, such as child victims, are also ignored or not prioritized.

Through carrying out the present practice in relation to domestic violence it can be
assessed that it is the situation in which one party threatens, violates and affects the another
party. It also provides fear to victims from another person to beat them or carry out domestic
violence. I assessed that domestic violence can occur upon different individuals such as intimate
relationship, dating, married, living together, dating etc. It has been identified that such field of
practice is committed mostly upon women and less powerful people. It helps me to identify the
conditions of people suffering from such type of violence and thus involves different conditions
such as physical, verbal psychological, sexual, emotional and financial abuse (Renzetti and
Miley, 2014). Also, it involves varied agencies that helps in working in respect to support the
victims and thus aid various support to them so that they can overcome the problems effectively.
This particular field of practice helps me to assess the opinion of public and thus identifies that
sometimes it crosses limits of cruelty. However, people considered it is a private issue but it is a
public concern and thus governing bodies such as human rights commission needs to intervene in
between such matters and try to punish the guilty.
As per the study it can be evaluated by me that there are different service users of
domestic aggression which can be occurred upon any individual but mostly committed to men
against women as well as vulnerable groups (Hanmer and Itzin, 2013). Mostly the people at risk
involves-

'Safe Steps Family Violence Response Centre' plays a crucial role which is formerly
known for Women's Domestic Violence Crisis Service is the agency that helps in providing wide
range of services for vulnerable groups who are facing aggression. It is the agency which
involves majority of women and takes no cost from clients, Safe Steps carries out the activity in
relation to safeguard the victims of family violence and thus works with the Victoria Police

family violence policy and practice, 24 hour crisis line, safe house/short term accommodation,
refuge/long term accommodation.
I assessed that it is essential for government of the country to take effective legislation so
that domestic violence can be overcome. It involves Family Law Act 1975. Also, a national
action plan has been introduced in order to minimize aggression against vulnerable groups was
drafted by the national council. Government is also required to involve different agencies in
order to overcome the family violence and thus protect the victims. Government also involve
Victoria Government Service Delivery 2016-2017 so that it commits funding to housing and
crisis refuges, more prevention and more support for women and children (Pallitto and et. al.,
2013). Here, it is essential for me to obtain different information regarding the legislation so that
it could be practice effectively and thus obtain desired objectives so that success can be attained
in an effective way. I also assesses that government is required to work in order to develop a
comprehensive 'Victorian Family Violence Plan'. On the other hand, another initiative
undertaken is gender equality strategy and thus promoting women's leadership through
increasing participation of women. Through viewing all these government policies it helps me to
identify the legislation and policies so that domestic violence can be overcome.
Moreover, I assessed that it is essential for business to involve the different funding
sources for the agency so that it implies the human services practices and thus obtain desired
results. Funding is required for the agency which is attained from the state and local
governments, philanthropic trusts, corporate and community partners and donations. Through
gaining donations from different sources it helps agency to work effectively for individual well
being. Safe Steps in working proactively in contributing towards women and children's safety
through influencing government policy and informing legislation. Also, I assess that through
keeping a close watch on the working relationship within Victorian government in order to keep
the family violence high on the agenda (Oram and et. al., 2013). It is also assessed that providing
best services to individual facing domestic violence and thus overcome such practices in order to
attain desired results. It is essential for me to provide different support services in regard to
overcome the domestic violence and utilize the funding appropriately so that victims can be
provided with proper safety actions and accommodations. Also, it is essential for me to take
effective steps within Safe Steps in order to raise funds and awareness so that proper services can
be provided to victims. Through raising campaigning it helps in providing best services to

children, women and other vulnerable persons so that they continue to overcome diseases.
Moreover, eliminating the violence against women helps in raising awareness that women all
around the world continues to be subjected to family violence, rape and other forms of violence.
Thus, taking crucial part in Safe Steps helps me to identify the requirements of people and thus
providing them best benefits in order to provide effective services so that set targets can be
attained (Howarth and et. al., 2015).
I assessed that it involves different theories in relation to provide different knowledge and
inform human services practices within the agency so that counselling services, legal services,
advocacy and community development strategies can be adopted which helps in carrying out
practices. Safe Steps is required to provide evidence based practice so that it continually
develops and provides submissions for consultations with other agencies and thus I need to work
in an effective manner to overcome problems (Kulkarni and et. al., 2013). Thus involving
different legislation and practices helps me to implement the same in order to identify the
reasons of domestic violence and thus try to avoid them to attain success.
I need to identify the history of such field of practice so that domestic violence can be
assessed as an ancient phenomenon. It involves the history of the field of internal aggression and
thus prior to the mid 1800's it was seen that individual was morally and physically abused mostly
by the husbands. Also, it is essential for me to identify the change in regard to develop
intervention for human services practices and thus overcome domestic violence. Also, I noticed
that by the early 1900's domestic violence had become largely a police issue and thus intervening
within it individual is rarely arrested. Also, it is the belief that it was largely a private home
issue. I need to identify the reasons through implementing different legislations and thus gain
public opinion upon such act so that it helps in giving justice to victims. However, in the recent
years, it has been noticed by me that in the present field of practice it has made conscious efforts
which was included towards all the victims of domestic violence (Stuart and et. al., 2013). Also,
it can be evaluated by me that in the present days, it involves different services for domestic
violence situations, including prevention campaigns, victim support and perpetrator
rehabilitation.
It helps me to assess that Safe Steps need to develop theories and knowledge so that
family violence incidence can be used for research and thus it helps individual to inform
regarding future practice. Also, being a first line agency and working with Victoria Policy that

enables that data to be real time and accurate. It also assists me to develop proper understanding
regarding the development programs so that best results can be attained. I need to focus upon
carrying out different counselling services so that victims of domestic violence can get option in
order to advice safety and planning activities so that desired objectives can be attained (Renzetti
and Miley, 2014). Also, different options and advice for safety planning options needs to be
undertaken so that best possible actions can be delivered to people in order to safeguard them
from actions.
Furthermore, it is essential for me to identify different options available in regard to
evaluate the factors of home aggression and thus provide the best quality services to victims in
order to overcome the effects. It also assists community to enroll assistance from different
governments and supervising services in order to deliver best services and thus obtain desired
targets. Hence, it is significant for firm to achieve desired targets so that objectives can be
attained in an effective manner (Hanmer and Itzin, 2013). Further, it is essential for me to
identify the objectives and goals so that success can be attained.
I also need to identify the different government policy and legislation implemented in
regard achieve desired results and thus improves the victims' family status. It is essential for firm
to obtain different objectives so that domestic violence can be avoided. Thus, it is significant for
individual to achieve desired success. It also assists me to identify the loopholes and thus
overcome the domestic violence so that success can be attained in an effective manner (Howard
and et. al., 2013). Thus, it is essential for me to provide safety and security of women victims.
I assessed that ethical consideration is one of the main reason that encourages the human
behaviour for doing negative activities. The set of activities that are termed under domestic
violence if used by human on other human. It includes severe beating, injuring, mental torture
and physical threatening by one human to other. They can be either known or unknown, relative
or friends, office employees and any other aspects. I witnessed that such activities generally take
place on behalf of some typical and ethical consideration. Human nature and behaviour is highly
responsible to act against the other human that enables them to react on their activity. The action
of other humans forces the other human to react on the basis of mental and physical torture.
Along with this, I examined that humans' reaction can be brutal in case when they suffer higher
negativity from any other respective. The level of reaction depends on the set of ethical values
and belief of the reacting person. The actions taken by the humans in that stage are mostly

unintentional and the person has no control on the possibility of reaction. The results are
extremely negative and vital, which can also lead to the victim's death but still the reacting
individual finds its more effective in overcoming their morale values.
I noted that the person adopting such activity is highly focusing on attaining great level of
self-satisfaction which enables them to develop a better and effective sets of self-actualisation.
The person performing the domestic violence has some assorted kind of thinking and handling
the situations which creates problems for other people. I evidenced that they some particular kind
of ethical values, morale understanding and capabilities which is generally different from any
other normal person. They mostly consider that aspects of handling the situation which
encourages their strength to take vital actions which results in physical and mental torture and
violence (Pallitto and et. al., 2013). Along with this, I also examined that in being culturally
responsive, a human behaviour is quite professionalism which force them to avoid compensation
in the activities in their lifestyle. However, there is no belief and values for domestic violence in
any culture or religion, that can encourage a person to take such negative steps.
Still, the reference and consideration of culture belief and values is generally used as an
excuse by victims or perpetrators. In addition to this, I also examined that the needs of vulnerable
peoples such as child victims are ascertained as the most affecting factors in domestic violence
which are mainly ignored or not prioritised. However, Clients may not be treated as individuals,
all cases may be grouped together without recognising diversity. The government has also
adopted various acts, policies and regulation in order to reduce the adaptability of domestic
violence activities. But still they are unable to decrease the impact and use of such kind of mental
and physical threatening (Oram and et. al., 2013). Moreover, the responsible departments should
implement some specific approaches and implication that are beneficial in changing the
assumption of the humans.
