Overview of an Organisation
Australian Red Cross is the well-established organisation leading in the health care,
humanitarian and community services and Charitable Trust in Australia and Auxiliary
Government. It is been developed for the National Society of the International Federation of
Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. It was established in the Australia in 1914. Its main
aim is to provide the services and programmes which basically includes international aid
across the Pacific regions. The Red Cross Society is used to provide the different blood group
services that are prevented safely. It is best known for the mobilising the volunteers for
creating and appreciating for providing the comfort parcels that was mainly send to the

time, keeping the efficiency and appropriate form to response to the disasters. It

response to the natural calamity.
2. Building Resilience- It helps in improving the capability of the National Societies as
well as to the communities been involved to cope up with and to overcome and
prevent from the calamities and disasters. The activities include to have an
appropriate training to the disaster response teams and to develop the contingency and
action plans so as to prevent from the disasters.
3. Increased Public Awareness- It enables to boost and develop the public
understanding towards the International Humanitarian law and values that involves in
reducing to the conflicts arises, violence, perception and stigma (Custers, 2016).
