1NURSING ASSIGNMENT Socio-ecological model As mentioned by Shahabuddin et al. (2017), theSocial Ecological Model(SEM) of public health is associated with the multifaceted and interactive effect of different individualized and environmental factors. These factors develop avenues which are responsible for the growth and development of the health promotional aspects. Through the five SEM levels, it describes of formalandinformalwaysofeffectivehealthcareaspectsthathelpinthegrowthand development of primary aspects of health promotion (Coburn et al., 2003). The inside out model of health promotion focuses on people to understand that aspects such as their personal and inner strength are the key elements that should be implemented in the care process. Further, the original thinking approach did not focus on the personal strengths and abilities for health promotional aspects. This is the way these approaches vary from each other in a cohesive manner. It should be noted in this regard that the model provides a directional paradigm for perspective health promotional activities and research work that is undertaken by various healthcare facilities. Thereby, it helps in examining the roles of several intermediate bodies such as the legislation and corporate decision-makers in promotion of a holistic welfare for common public. Evidence based public health Evidence-based public health is the aspects that are included in the healthcare processes that includes aspects such as informed, explicit and judicial use of evidence present in the society. This models and beliefs help the healthcare professional to maintain effective care for
2NURSING ASSIGNMENT peoplethatareunabletoreceiveeffectivecarefortheirwellbeing(Brownson,Baker, Deshpande& Gillespie, 2017). As per Bhalaji, Bathrinath, Ponnambalam and Saravanasankar (2019), there are five aspects or domains that prevail or control the public health aspects and influence the decision making related aspects so that people could be provided with quality and effective healthcare. In this aspect, these domains should be mentioned which are the development of the workforce, leadership, organizational climate and culture, partnership and relationship, financial processes. These are important for the successful implementation of evidence for the usage in public health. The evidence-based public health practices are developed so that the integration of clinical experts could help to develop effective healthcare process for associated patients. This helps to maintain the quality of healthcare processes and obtain a positive outcome for the patient (Brownson, Baker, Deshpande & Gillespie, 2017). However, evidence-based medicine is the approach that is inclusive of the judicious use of medication that can help acquire positive patient outcome. Research and practice in public health Both research and practice hold tremendous importance in growth and development of aspects so that evidence based practice could be developed. It helps patients to maintain quality and improved care process and also helps them to maintain functional abilities, patterns of care, increase healthcare costs and develop interventions so that patient could be provided with strength and abilities for their growth (Moore et al., 2015). The barriers that prevent translating research into practice could be categorized into two sections, such as individual characterized and system based approach due to which majority of
3NURSING ASSIGNMENT the majority of the patients could not be provided with effective care. These barriers are created due to the presence of lack of knowledge about the aspect due to which people could not receive effective care for their wellbeing aspects (Hoyer, Brotman, Chan& Needham,2015). The autonomy in public healthcare processes are developed so that people who are availing healthcare facilities in the country can be provided with avenues which could benefit them in the care-driven decision making process (Fleetwood, 2017). It also provides the implication of healthcare investigation so that effective care can be provided to the patients and at the same time the patient-satisfaction level can be alleviated.
