INTRODUCTIONEmployability skills are those transferable skills needed by an individual to make thememployable. Along with these skills technical knowledge, subject understanding and employersset of skills are also required to perform a task. Employ ability does not only mean to have theseskills and knowledge but together with this how that person uses these assets to perform well andhow these are presented to employer (Sperling, 2017). This project consists of Clifton GallupStrengths and John Hollands theory, professional qualification for insurance sector, descriptionof CV and job interview questions as per STAR method. TASK 1Theme 1: Know yourselfClifton Gallup Strengths is a theory developed in 1990 by Gallup in leadership ofeducational psychologist Donald Clifton. In this theory it was mentioned that everyone is uniqueand possess different talent but self-assessment is very necessary to know what qualities onealready have. In Clifton theory thirty-four strengths are mentioned and to know what talent isalready lies in me. According to this theory one should have five special skills from availablethirty-four that makes user more employable. Some of these strengths are mentioned below:Adaptability- Future is a destination which is created by taking decisions in present asgetting a position of an analyst is our future aspiration but adaptability helps us torespond according to demand of the movement positively even this was not in our plan.Being an analyst is part of the plan but adaptability helps to work in some other areas inthe business such as involving in the management, finance or some other department.This will develop personal strengths of being multitasking. Arranger – Complex situation involves many factors and we need to arrange thesefactors in most productive configuration (Spring, 2015). This strength gives positiveattitude as I always focus on solutions not on size of complexes. Pursuing a career ofanalyst puts in various situations where arranging different problems will be productiveto you. Having quality of arranger helps to perform various task and also problems of theorganization is resolved by arranging them in most productive manner. Communication – Ideas are dry and dead when they are in your mind but to bring themto life they need to be communicated or shared with others. Communication is a key to1

share information which is required at every stage to perform a task as a analyst decisionsneed to be taken on the basis of information, market conditions, experts opinion all thiswill be in a frame when a good communication chain is established. Goodcommunication skills while working in the organization helping me to communicateideas and collecting information that is required to make effective decision. Self-assurance – It is similar to self-confidence, an inner ability that is possess by thecandidates in performing its job role more effectively that can take new challenges andmost important to communicate with others. Self-assurance provides confidence to takedecisions, to believe in your own judgments. An analyst on daily basis needs to analysesvarious data and to make a decision on that basis self-belief and self-confidence must bethere on your own decisions (Guo and Sun, 2014). When I am confident about mydecisions and analysis that help me to gain confidence of others on my decisions. Selfassurance helps me to take new challenges in performing various activities for operatingday to day activities in the business. Responsibility – It is a psychological ownership for anything you are committed to orworking on, it can be large and small but you feel emotionally to complete any task ontime and also with more efficiency. In case the person is not able to perform a task thenyou try to find ways to complete that on time. Behavior to complete work on time createsyour image of a responsible person and whenever a new task will be your name will firstbe asked for it. Having a career of analyst puts many responsibilities and you should becompetent to take them effectively. Making predictions on the basis of past performanceand expected futures is very crucial for the companies success and being responsible forthe results makes analysis more accurate. Together with this responsibility minimizesusage of power in wrong and ineffective manner. Having all these strengths will help in pursuing career as an analyst in commercialmarket, as in this competitive business world having good education is not enough but togetherwith that you should have some qualities that are required in the industry you are working, thesestrengths will help you to stand different and grow more. John Holland's theory defines personality of a person as one from six of available types.These are realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, conventional. As per availableinformation of experience in past job and personal skills that you possess your personality is of2
