In today's world, most of the youth are being addicted to junk foods and they are facing a most common problem called ‘Obesity'. Nowadays, athletes are becoming a role model for young people, but they are not following the diet routine of athletes to stay fit. Obesity cannot be carried throughout life and the younger generation must be addicted to staying healthy. Being healthy, helps to avoid suffering from diseases throughout the life. Healthy eating helps to follow the lifestyle of popular athletes. Risk factors of obesity Obesity is an epidemic in Australia and according to the report of WHO in 2007, this country ranked third in having overweight adults. The issue of obesity is mostly impacting the youths who are considered as future of nation. Hence, it is essential to protect the health of youths from chronic problems like heart diseases. National report of Australian government shows that 27% of youths in Australia are overweight. In 2017-18, a greater percentage of men aged 18 was found overweight than women. The percentages were 74.5% and 59.7% respectively (Abs.gov.au, 2018). This percentage has increased from the previous report in 2015 and 2015. Hence, risk factors for both genders have increased with time due to unhealthy lifestyles. (Source: Abs.gov.au, 2018) Youths in this country are facing different health problems due to obesity those include type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure and musculoskeletal conditions (Aihw.gov.au, 2017). Strokes can only be prevented by regulating blood pressure and increasing physical activities, which helps in reducing obesity. Moreover, other life-threatening diseases like kidney failure and certain types of cancer can also occur. This, in turn, will decrease productivity of the country in future and life expectancy rate can also decrease. Importance of avoiding obesity One can look attractive by maintaining lower bodyweight.
