1. Introduction
The paper mainly reflects on the organization “Repair- Made-Easy” which
is one of the spare parts and computer selling company. It is identified
that currently the organization utilizes PC based spreadsheet in order to
manage the operations of the organization and faces many issues.
Therefore, in order to mitigate the issues and challenges, the organization
wants to develop a new as well as effective information system. The main
goal of the organization is to develop an information system for replacing
the current manual system.
The objectives of the project are listed below:
 To design and develop an information system for replacing the
manual system that the organization uses currently.
 To provide the facility of accessing information and controlling all
the stores with the help of centralized database.
2. Approaches to Systems Development
It is found that Repair made easy is one of the organization that utilizes manual
as well as excel spreadsheet in order to manage its operations within the
organization but due to the utilization of the manual system, it is not possible for
the salesperson to update all the information that are related to sales and
additionally they face difficulty in keeping all the data within the PC that have
limited space. Moreover, spreadsheet which runs is very much and has a number
of limitations. In order to mitigate this particular issue, the organization wants to
implement a new system which would helps in managing the entire operations
effectively. In addition to this, the new system will be helpful in the coming
future as the stores can be managed via the internet and all the data of the
stores will get updated within the centralized database (Patwardhan
et al. 2016).
In order to implement the system successfully agile project management
approach is mainly selected.
It is found that agile project approach is generally selected in this project as with
the help of the agile methodology helps in controlling the entire projects
effectively and assists in minimizing the risks which are mainly linked with the
entire project (Serrador and Pinto 2015). It is found that the agile methodologies
or approaches helps in eliminating the chances of project failure and provides
the freedom of making any types of changes that are required to be
implemented for successful development of the system.
3. Systems Requirements
Functional requirements
Business requirements The information system must align
with the needs of the business and
it must manage the entire
operations of the organization in

such a way that the utilization of
spreadsheet gets replaced (Che Cob
et al. 2016).
Security requirements The new information system must
provide proper security to the data
and information which are stored in
the system for avoiding different
types of security challenges.
Interface requirements The interface of the information
system is created in such a way that
it generally accepts numeric data
and accepts other information
related with the stock of the
company (Ma
et al. 2017).
Regulatory requirements It is found that the new system that
is developed must have a functional
audit trail database. In addition to
this, the system that is developed is
helpful in limiting the access for the
users who are unauthorized to the
system.
Non- functional requirements
Reliability The software that are utilized in the
system are very much reliable and
thus the system will perform
properly for managing the
organizational operations.
Performance It is one of the quality attributes
that reflect the system will perform
properly and assists in managing
the operations of the organization
effectively. Due to proper
performance, a huge number of
customers will get attracted to the
entire system (Khan
et al. 2016).
Availability The information that is mainly
stored within the system will be
accessed only by the users who are
mainly authorized in the entire
system (Dabbagh, Lee and Parizi
2016). The information and data are
not available for the users who are
