BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Family
Information
For the collection of the background information related to the family, I initiated a long conversation with the
parents of Charlie to understand and note down the issues of the child, the instances and the medical history of
Charlie during his time of birth, the developmental disorder, the behavioural and the adoption challenges faced
by Charlie during his early years in the case of study, playing and in social interaction. With the conduction of
one to one personal interview and encouragement of the parents of Charlie regarding the care towards their
child, I gathered the relevant information.
Health Needs
I consulted with the parents, the care givers of the institution and the doctors in charge of the child care centre
to understand the issues and the challenges faced by Charlie who was suffering from autism spectrum
disorder. Furthermore the daily care givers and the teacher who communicated with Charlie on a regular basis
in the school furthermore reported his unnatural activities and behavioural pattern due to autism in the survey
questionnaire regarding the case study of Charlie.
