The Berlin Brandenburg airport was initiated in the year 1990 with the point of view of
incrementing the business, economic growth and better development of tourism sector of the
city. The plan was initiated with the objective of making a huge airport and extracting several
business as well as development opportunities for several sectors of Berlin, Brandenburg and
many other cities. Soon it was identified that project was becoming a failure with involvement of
several of resources financial and non financial as well as continuous postponing of the
launching date of the airport from the initial date that is October 2011(Fiedler and Wendler,
2016). The airport was actually launched in 2020 after 30 years of commencement of its
construction and development of the entire project.

Berlin brandenburg airport, in the year 2006 the German government announced the
commencement of construction of a brand new airport in Berlin for replacing the old one known
as Tegel. The new airport was need to be named as Willy Brandt Berlin Brandenburg Airport
dedicated tu Ex chancellor of the federal republic of Germany and also the leader of social
democratic party of Germany. The company involved in management as well as construction of
the airport project is German company Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH denoted and
renowned as FBB. The new airport which was being panned and constructed was expected to

construction and were not being completed after 9 years passed from the expected
commencement date. Finally in the year 2020 on 31st October Berlin Brandenburg Airport was
opened for business. Around 30 years after the initiation of construction of the Berlin
brandenburg international Airport if started operated in the year 2020 due to to several scandals
and delays. The project was initiated in 1990 after the unification of Germany and a proposed
plan to build an airport for accommodating the needs of unified Berlin was made.

multiple aspects which continuously lead to the failure of Berlin Brandenburg Airport
