INTRODUCTIONCommunication is a medium of exchanging ideas and views between two persons. Inorder to exchange messages and information effectively then proper communication is required.In addition to it, effective communication is necessary in the organizations so that requisiteinformation can be delivered to the listener. For the same, communication skills are must as itassists an individual to deliver crucial information (McCabe and Timmins, 2013).Communication skills are required to provide better services to both the services user andservices provider. Communication can be of two types verbal and non-verbal. The report consistsof the details, which are required for better communication and relative information during thetime follow in order to provide information to others. For example, if an employee is facingproblems in the company they must communicate to the manager first, then to the humanresources department and then at last to the HOD or any other higher authority. If he doesn'tfollow this criteria they misunderstandings in the company will increase and the employee willget in problem. If proper format is followed then there might be possibility that problem issolved in within low level and employee can get easily satisfied. Communication processconsists of following stages: Source, Encoding, communication channel, receiver, decoding and feedback. Forcommunication, it is required to identify the subject and along with it sources from whichinformation on it could be acquired. It is also needed to identify communication channel throughwhich information could be transferred. At the receiver's end, it is decoded and feedback isprovided if changes are needed to be introduced. In organization the communication skillsincluded must be continuous and dynamic in nature. For performing better communicationvarious types of theories are required for proper communication. Moreover, it consists ofinterpersonal communication, presentation and negotiation skills. In terms of management theseskills are required for team meetings and are needed for development of positive workenvironment. This report is based on a case study of SHDE holdings, an electrical suppliercompany with regional repair centres. The organization is facing communication problem withits employees and suppliers, which is affecting the business of this company. The document isprepared with the purpose of defining the process of communication and effective measures,which can be taken in order to improve the communication problems (Arnold and Boggs, 2015).From this report the management team of SHDE Holdings will be able to gain knowledge about

effective communication and its role in the business. Moreover, this report explores variousmedia, their effects, importance and barriers to effective communication. Lastly, the need ofcareer development and necessity for the communication skills are also evaluated. TASK 1A1.1Communication in simple words can be defined as the process through which informationis transferred between two or more people, in which the message is transferred through one andreceived by others (Broadbent, 2013). In simple language it's flow of massage from sender toreceiver. It is also required by the organization as when they represent the company in marketthey must define it in proper order. Within the company it is required that information should getproperly distributed at all the levels of hierarchy. For example, if an employee is facing problemin the company they must move to manager, then Human resource department and then at last tothe HOD or any other higher authority. If he doesn't follow this criteria they misunderstandingsin the company will increase and the employee will get in problem. In premier recruitmentgroup, process of communication involves seven following steps: Source, Encoding, communication channel, receiver, decoding, and feedback. In organization thecommunication skills included must be continuous and dynamic in nature. Sender: Communicator is the one who sends information with an intention to pass the same toothers.Encoding: As the subject or information is not visible or tangible so it needs to have someactions or symbols. Whereas, encoding helps in giving symbols and actions to any information ormessage.Channel: Here, the sender requires opting the appropriate communication channel such asformal or informal. Appropriate use of channel is necessary as it helps in understanding themessage effectively (Beardsley, Kimberlin and Tindall, 2012).Receiver: Receiver is the person who is end user or listener of the message. However, thereceiver tries and understands the message in the best possible manner.
