Assessment 1: Project Plan
Overview of the Project Idea
Talent management is an important aspect for an organization and can help it in
managing as well as retaining the employees for a longer period of time (Batra, 2020).
Companies can adopt various measures in order to retain their employees such as effective
training and development opportunities, provide mentoring and coaching, offer rewards and
benefits etc. But the outbreak of Covid-19 has impacted the process of talent management within
organizations.
Project aims and objectives
The aim of this project is to analyze the impact of Covid-19 on talent management. The
project will take into account the different positive as well as negative impacts on the same in
order to provide the readers with a better understanding of the same.
Problem Statement
The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted how organizations conduct their
business operations. It has affected organizations operating across different industries. As
mentioned, talent management helps organizations in retaining the talent within the workplace
and enhancing overall performance (Cosgrove, Vizcaino and Wharton, 2021). But due to the
pandemic, companies are facing difficulties in managing their staff members and motivating
them in order to retain them for a longer period of time. The report analyzes the impact of Covid-
19 on the talent management within organizations.
Literature Review
There are some studies that have been conducted in order to analyze the impact of Covid-
19 on organizations and their performance. The results of these studies show that there has been
a significant level of decline in the morale as well as productivity of the employees. While there
has been a decline in the levels of demand among customers, organizations are rethinking about
their hiring process more broadly. With the concept of remote working gaining importance for
the organizations, it has become difficult for the employees to work for long hours. As a result, it
has been observed that there has been a decline in the overall levels of productivity of the
employees due to which the overall performance of companies has also been affected. Therefore,
