Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Development of a personal or self is the process in which a person improves
upon their skills, talents, and also the knowledge so that it helps to improve an
individual’s quality of life. It also assists in achieving by an individual’s desired goals
as well as professional advancement, which involves education, work opportunities,
and other factors (Pylväs and Nokelainen, 2021). As a result, the ability to live a
happy and fulfilled life is enhanced. Professional Development, on the other hand,
aids in the development of required skills and information for success in the job. It
also focuses on the necessary improvements to reach the intended outcomes. As a
result, these innovations resulted in long-term success and expansion.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals
identifying at least 3 personal examples
Setting up and aiming for the goals is a crucial first step in achieving targeted
goals by an individual. These goals set are referred to as the short-term goals since
they are generally completed in a period of time which is of a year of less than that.
These targeted objectives helps in boosting morale as well as competitive spirit, as
well as the possibility of attaining long-term objectives (Claridge and Lewis, 2021).
The following sections go through some of the short-term objectives.
Developing interpersonal skills
Exceptional time management abilities
Controlling both stress and job pressure

Medium-term aims or goals are those that must be accomplished within the
period of 18 months that may be maximised to 3 years. These targeted objectives
shall be examined on a regular basis so that they preserve their high quality or else
this would lead to dissatisfaction as well as failure to achieve desired life objectives
(Chow and Calvard, 2021). The following sections go through some of the medium-
term objectives.
