INTRODUCTIONA person conducting a business (PCBU) is a legal term under the laws of WHS. Anindividual who performs operations of work for PCBU is known as an employer. There aredifferent kinds of PCBU which are as under: Public and private enterprise, partnership, firm,Department of government and authorities, cooperatives and many others(Purcell, 2016). Theproject is about the case study of mechanic workshop. This report will also come to understandthe health and safety act and regulations as well as codes of conducts in Tasmania. Moreover,the duties and obligations are also included in this study. Besides this, the function and power ofthe health and safety are also considered in this assessment. 1. Explaining health and safety acts, regulations, codes of practice and standardsin TasmaniaHealth and safety act is very important act in the organization. It is very important in anycompany to have Health and Safety Act in the workplace so that the workers of the company willfeel safe and secured (Purcell, 2016). The workers of the mechanical workshop will only beattained its goal and objectives if they will feel safe and secured. The tools and the equipment ofthe workshop should not be in bad conditions, it should be repaired. No machine in the companyis used unless it is authorized and pass by the technicians. The safety guards should not removein any manner. The worker working in the mechanic workshop should be well known about the riskfactor in the working place and it should be signed by the employer before joining the job.Another important code of conduct in Tasmania is that the person who is not trained should notbe doing work at the dangerous place. Furthermore, the person who has not crossed the age of 18should not be recruited in the organisation as it is against the law. Technical staff of the organization should be protected by the providing them guard ofeye protection, and hand gloves while doing any repair work so that their hands did not be harmor burn. 2.
